I just wanted to post in response to any, including myself, who may have any pending trades with Ironfist Boulderbender. I received an email from possibly his wife (not sure) who said that he is currently in the hospital and been unable to complete his end of his trades. She said she is trying to take care of all his pending trades and he will be out of commission for a while. Hope all is well with him and I think everyone can hold off on any more doubts for now. I will post this in the general topics to inform all.

Just completed my second trade with Allen. This guy is amazing -- good negotiator, great packer, and willing to go above and beyond the call to complete a trade.

My 2nd trade with Ironfist Boulderbender is complete. It took a while, but he came through as promised. He stayed communicative, so I wasn't ever really worried. If you've been waiting a while for a trade, I think you can be confident that he will honor your bargain as soon as he is able.

I have had a trade going with him for some time. We exchanged about $200 worth of minis. Unfortunately with his spider bite and such it took a long time to receive anything. After a while I got all the valueable rares, but am still missing many uncommons which were supposed to be sent in the trade. I have yet to receive them. I understand he has been solid on the site, but I hope he sees this post and replies to my requests of sendng the minis he owes. I am going to try and email him again and see if I get a reply. he did say that he was having trouble with his computer. I hope all works out and will post the results.

Seeing as how i am one of those guys the Mr. Danex is talking about i figured that i will confirm the shady dealing of Boulderbender. My local game shop is at full defcon status in light of the posts presented here. First off this man would rip off anyone. On several occasions i have thwarted his "trades" with local kids. he tried to trade 2 gibbering mouthers and some mongrelfolk to a kid for a huge red dragon and had him convinced it was fair. I more was more then willing to give the kid a mouther and a dozen mongrels if he didnt do it. So take it from me if you wanna take the chance at recieveing possibley "hot" minis then please help yourself to his trades but do not let it be said that you werent warned.

It concerns me greatly that Ironfist has apparently gone over to the dark side. I don't mean to make light of it, but my three trades with him were good. The third was a little slow in getting to me but it did.

However, after hearing all this. I can't, in all good conscience, trade with him again.

I believe I recieved from Ironfist. The trade is considered closed and satisfied.

I am the one who posted that spider bite thing and now feel as though I may have been taken. For whatever reason I was sent my rares in the trade, but am still yet to receive all the uncommons and commons in the trade. I think that he has ripped me off as well. Sad to see this happen considering he had a decent trade reference.

I have to report a failed trade with Ironfist Boulderbender. We had agreed to a trade involving a number of D&D miniatures (including some very valuable ones) at the end of March.

After a few weeks nothing had arrived and I was unable to contact him via email.

It around that time that it was posted here that he had fallen ill and this was the reason he hadn't sent anything. I chose to believe this and rather than hound the guy publicly wait things out.

He contacted me again at the beginning of May and apologized for the delay and explained a bit about his problem. He said the minis were being packed and he would be sending shortly.

I asked if he had recieved my end. He said he couldn't find my end (Which included a displacer beast, large red dragon and an ogre ravager amongst others) but if thought they might be around someplace. He again told me the minis were boxed and ready to go.

Since then I have emailed a couple of times without response. Although I do think it is true he had fallen sick and this caused the initial problem it seems likely that he has decided not to make good on his remaining trades. Perhaps he decided the damage to his trading rep was already done so there was no point.

I don't know and I don't care. I'm out minis and after about a hundred trades have finally be scammed. And by an experienced trader no less.

This is the last message he sent me...
For the most part, I am recovered...still get queezy at times (they told me that I had an allergic reaction to the antivenom) but the Doc told me that will pass with time. I am trying to confirm that they did arrive, but I am not sure....I was out of it to the point that I couldn't even remember my own name (litterally!!)...I have been checking my inventory and I am not finding any Large Reds nor Ogre Ravagers. I am sure that I did not trade them out (I couldn't even remember how to log on to my computer for a while) but Sue may have accepted the package and forgot to log it in. It is probably still in this disaster area that I claim to be a computer room waiting like Tutankhaman did to be discovered.

Anyway, enough babbling...I am getting your figs all boxed up and ready to go. Thank you for your patience and concern and I have included a couple bonus figs to ease the sting of the delays.

I am still awaiting for my trade to be completed. As of now it looks dead considering I have emailed him numerous times with no further reply. Sad, but true. This has been going on since the release of Deathknell. Looks bad.

This one really bites but there wasn't much we could have done to protect ourselves. Allen was a regular on the boards and a solid trader with no points against him. When a good trader suddenly drops out and leaves his partners hanging there would have been no way for the partners to guess it was coming.

In our case the only inconsistences when negotiating were on my end. Too many drinks while responding to posts led to me misreading a few things and responding a tad off. He seemed very upfront...slightly confused by one of my responses...but otherwise straight.

Even his later emails after the illness seemed quite honest. I have no idea what to think.

I saw an earlier thread which mentioned something about him selling a bunch of figures. Burning bridges isn't exactly the best way to leave a hobby. I'm going to have to follow up on this stuff more but I've been so preoccupied with work, family and a lot of trading with honest people it's kept me from doing more than sending the odd email. I should send snail mail soon and see if it gets any results.

I'd really like to know where you are getting your information....I was not even at the qualifier last year, nor did I trade in all my minis. I did not go to the Utah qualifier because I was planning to attend the Idaho, and was informed that you could only participate in one qualifier (but my information was wrong). You really should get the facts straight before you make posts like this. I at least try to make sure all my facts are correct.

As for the store owner you refer to, I know him quite well, and I will be having a discussion with him about his alleged report to you, personally, I don't believe he is the type of person to say what you claim he did. I know that he spoke with me about the trade, and the information I gave him was the truth....the minis you claim to have sent NEVER ARRIVED!!!

Trade pending with True_Blue. I sent him an Aspect of Orcus card on 01/12/06 (will be taken in tomorrow's post) and asked that he return to me (after he recieves the card) 2 Duergar Champions.

I for one can vouch that ironfistboulderbender (Allen) never recieced the minis Corim Danex sent to him because I live in the same house as he does so I know what trades he recieved and what trades he did not recieve because I would check the mail or he (Allen) would tell me. If any of you need confirmation on this please email me at ladysilverwolf83@yahoo.com or ladysilverwolf83@homtail.com. I am just tired of hearing about the situation between Corim Danex and ironfistboulderbender because it is causing me to end up getting involved because of hearing about this and knowing that Allen never recieved that package.

Besides it was Corim Danex from what I hear didn't use delivery confimation or else he would know when Allen recieved the package, but since he didn't use delivery confirmation the package was lost and never recieved by Allen.
