I also hope the list grows shorter with time. I suspect in many cases it will. Like I said, this isn't necessarily a bad trader list.

In all though, this is a very short list considering there have been over 12,000 maxminis trades!

It is good to have a list like this, as a resource to traders it's useful and will help many make wise decisions.

Here is my reply:

Well in making the disputed trades list, I didn't really want to make my self the arbitrator as to what is and what isn't a disputed trade.
Basically I'll post anything that someone wants to dispute in the "problem disputed trades thread". That way I'm doing by best to avoid
bias for or against any particular trader.

As to what constitutes a disputed trade, I'll offer you my opinion, but this is just my opinion.

Here are some things to consider:
1.) How long has it been since you agreed to a trade? For trades within the US, it shouldn't take longer than 2 to 3 weeks from the time
minis were sent to reach your doorstep. In my experience trades almost always arrive within 7-10 days of when they were sent.
International trades can take longer. I've had them range anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks from the date sent to arrive. If things are
getting beyond that time frame, then I would consider calling the trade disputed.

2.) How is the communication with the other trader? If you're receiving regular emails and he/she is trying to work with you to get
a trade resolved then I wouldn't post anything as disputed. If the person has disappeared and isn't responding to multiple emails over several
days then I would be worried and consider reporting it.

3.) Are there signs that other people are having similar problems with this person? If so, I'd probably report it sooner than later.

Add me to disputed trades with -Lance too. I sent mine with DC. Been almost two weeks and nothing from him, and he doesn't respond to my emails.

The problem with BigMe was with me he was a first time trader and agreed to send first but I never recieved anything from him I also never got any email response from him after the first few weeks. I haven't seen him post here since our trade which was close to a year ago.

I updated this information.

Darkfather has asked about this as well. In general, I'm inclined to leave trades up there that are very old and never resolved. I realize that BigME hasn't been back in a long time and probably never will be. There is always that chance of him returning, hoping that the statute of limitations has expired and that he can try to scam again. Thayil has certainly tried this.

However, I'll gladly delete any of the complaints if the 'plantiff' asks me to.

Thayil didn't just try. Under the guise of Datapwat, he managed to swindle again - this time the poor victim was Oyvind from Norway.

Seems like your heading is unclear. For example Lance is not have a problem with all those traders, they are having a problem with him. Same goes for Chaotic Good. I would hate for someone to look on this list, see one of the people on the list. And misinterprit who is having a problem with who.

He never shipped mine, according to last word from
him. He is not returning my emails now.

I also have a trade issue with Ironfist Boulderbender. We agreed on a trade in early Feb 04. I sent him a package on about 2/10/05 (give or take a day or two at most). It was my first trade on maxminis. I agreed to send first because of this. I didn't know about DC and didn't use it. He reports that he has never received package, and he also has never sent me anything. He has communicated with me about it on several occassions. I am putting this post here until the issue is resolved. I have since completed about 21 trades.

Received my returned minis from -Lance- today. He has made good on the fall-through of the original trade. As such, I no longer have a disputed trade with -Lance-.

I don't know if it'll do any good, but hopefully the fact that he stole so many minis from so many maxminis users will come back to bite him, eventually. I intend to use every inexpensive and legal means to ensure that it does. If any other of his victims have some ideas, please let me know.

To my knowledge, none of his outstanding disputes have been resolved (despite his promises to the contrary). Best of luck.

I would like to add to the list of problem trades with Chaotic Good.
My timeline...

4/9: he made an offer from my trade post that I accepted.
4/11: I ship with DC and email the shipment information.
4/15: Delivery is confirmed via USPS.
4/16: email to CG asking him to confirm delivery
4/19: email to CG asking him to again confirm delivery and provide shipping info from his end.
4/22: A third email to CG regarding trade.

There has been no reponse since I shipped.
Given his current list of problem trades, a lack of response on the boards, I believe I need to be added to the list.

I genuinely hope that this job has him that busy.
I am currenting seeking to find alternate contact methods for him.
