I think this is the 4th version, correct me if I'm wrong.
Restart date: October 24 2006.

Say, does anyone know how to edit the title, I can get into the message but the title seems to be locked. | | "GameKnight Games and Cool Stuff Winnipeg's source for RPGs and minis!" www.gameknight.ca

If I bring Munchkins, I can also bring Nascar. Any ideas? | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. Otherwise I might give the night a pass and rest up for Dreamblade and DDM later in the week. I needs to gain 4 points on Rob this week to zoom into first place. In other news I passed the Dreamblade test this morning.

All depends if i will be able to beg someone, namely my wonderful boss, for a ride home at the end of the evening. Mike does your non-tier 1 challenge still stand? As for the DBM on friday, i will only play if i am need to fill out the tourney. Otherwise for me this will be a standard friday of controlling the magic guys and trying to run the store at the same time. | | Knight of Ni Jay(Clerks 2) - would you "bleep" me?...i would "bleep" me...i would "bleep" me hard

| | 26 Oct 2006 06:57 AM | | Fun day at Gameknight yesterday. I played the mod. with Rob and Mike (DM). Since there was only 2 people me and Rob played two charcters. There is six characters to pick from. I feel you need the six charcters. Mike was a nice DM and we survived his 10 natural 20's to beat the adventure. Hellcat was a nice mini along with the gargoyal (sp?).
We proceded to play Munchkins. Mike was playing for the first time. He won by killing the Male Shauvanest Pig. I might have stood a chance if Mike didn't make me drop my weapons, and Rob didn't make the Dopplegansters come from Hell. Fun Fun Fun.
I saw the PDF spoiler. My summary: BW has low-ish DC's (Besides Vlaakith). BW gave the shaft to it's big devils (Ice devil and Horned Devil) BW has a power creep (as usual) BW has a lower dmg output than I initially thought (Ignoring the EPICS) BW is taking me away from my school work, so I must go for now. I have a house to draw.
I won't be out for tonight. I'll almost surely be there on Saturday. | | Disipline is the only way to overcome chaos. Champion of Half-Golems Knight of Golems "This world is made for love and peace" - Trigun "anyway..shadow..you've figured women out. KUDOS." - raye_kino16

Opposite scenario for me from Richard, I'm giving minis tonight a pass and going to Dreamblade tomorrow. Anyone looking to get into a great game now's a good time to come out and join the fun.

| | 27 Oct 2006 08:31 AM | | Hello all, It was nice to see 8 people out for minis last night (although 10 or more would have been nicer ). So, yes Shadowlord there was a tournament. I ended up going the distance and winning the night 3-0. Two weeks running and Richard reminded everyone at the end of the evening. My warband was: Couatl Cleric of Syreth Tordek, Dwarf Champion Gold Dwarf Soldier Sacred Watcher Warforged Scout 2 x Hill Dwarf Warrior 199 points total - Forest Cliff Lair map. My first match was against Richard and his own LG Tordek - Ballista - War Weaver band. I think that by all rights Richard should have won with the firepower, except he kept rolling 1s. Those misses on saves and attacks allowed me just enough of an opening to rout his Tordek at a critical point and kill off enough fodder (and the Ballista) to win. It did not help Richard that we played on my map, not his favoured Dragonsdown Grotto. My second match was against David and his LE Cadaver Collector band. I don't remember all of the pieces, but he had a duergar champion, goblin blackblade and goblin underboss in there as well. Again, we played on my map. I won that match by engaging everything except the Cadaver Collector until the end. I won on points including victory points for two rounds. My final match was against Chris B with his LE Blackguard on Nightmare, Green Dragon, and Goblins combo. I finally lost map selection for the night and ended up playing on Bach's choice of Dragon's Graveyard. This game could have gone either way, but the dice held with me and when Bach moved his Nightmare to base my Couatl I managed to win all of the key rolls after that for the next two rounds. That ended up with a dead Blackguard on Nightmare. It did not help that the Green Dragon was based by the Sacred Watcher and took 4 rounds (I think) to actually kill it. I think for the first two rounds he rolled one hit (out of six attacks) that might have hit, but it missed conceal. Anyhow, that was my night (more details will not come out, I did not take notes and I am still suffering from a head cold, so I was not as observant as I should/could have been). | | 27 Oct 2006 09:23 AM | | I'll try. I haven't received any yet, which puzzles me as I know they are out there.
8 people out for a tournament I think is a good number. It makes sure there is a booster and a retail kit in the prize pool. I think after the new set is out, the trend will be to see attendance back up. We have a couple of new faces coming to the games, despite a few people not coming out anymore.
