| Quick question here. There was a map that came in a dragon magazine a few months back, I believe it was #317? Can anyone tell me the name of the map and confirm the issue #?
Thanks Drax | | Have/Want List: http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Draxle

| Drax,
Were you able to get #322 also? I've been looking for the Dragon's hoard, and didn't realize it was possible to order.

Yeah. There's no info out there saying that it's avaliable anywhere else. If you don't have one, go and order the mag. Now. I'll wait. [:)]

| To those interested. I called them and the maps do infact ship with the magazines. Also both issues I ordered are in stock, and they shipped out the same day, although I did order them at like 6am via the web.

The above it correct, ordering issue #337 not only getes you a sweet article on Zuggtmoy, but a Drow Outpost poster map. The map will be tournament legal (and may be now, I am not sure how the RPGA is playing that) and is only available through the magazine.
We did have a snafu with the issue and had to ship the majority of our copies overseas. We have gotten some back, but I do not expect them to last forever.
And if you like this promo.. wait till you see what we have in store... its Huge.

I used to be subscribed to Dragon and Dungeon but I cancelled due to reasons that are inconsequential to this post; however I just wanted to say that I bought issue #337 NOT because of the map but because of the Zuggy [)] article, the map was just the icing on the cake. [:D]

Per the DCI rules you can this map (or any other one) only if it is availiable to all players (no map init. every on the same map) | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

The dragon's hoard is legal in a DCI event only if it is provided so everyone plays on it. No map other then the Lost Temple map is currently legal for a sanctioned DCI event. | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

Reading over the DCI rules again, this was the previous update. Current only talks about the Lost Temple being legal and only for "Extreme Scenarios". | | First peon to make it to "Knight Warlord" Completed Trades -148-

| I have both of these maps in large JPG format and PDF format but I'm not sharing them simply because as long as they are not impossible to find I see little reason.

That is only what it SAYS in the floor rules. Remember, it still says in the Floor rules that a draw equal 1 point, when everyone knows it now equal zero points.
Both of the New England Opens have been sanctioned, with maps, by the DCI (and with their knowledge).

A great point. Here in Atlanta, we're maps on out through the prerelease with two official tournaments to take place before the actual Release tourney for War Drums. I really think that maps are just the way to go and am excited to be playing on them. I'm hoping the floor rules update around the same time as War Drums so we start off fresh across the board.

| | Recognizing that its not legal for general play, is the Dragon's Hoard map useable for skirmish? Even without the victory areas, is it worth getting? | | Any time you try to make something idiot-proof, someone always goes out and invents a better idiot. Champion of Siege Equipment | |

my points was it is just as legal as all the other maps that are being used. (the DCI floor rules need to be updated!!!)
Is it worth it? you could run the rules that it came with. or better yet use it in you rpg game as a the group enters the dragons horde room, the dragon then breaths on everyone and knowing he will die to the advertures, melts all his gold into a big clump.
