| Ok, I skimmed the Red Hand of Doom preview, and these are the monsters mentioned (it does say they make every effort to use monsters from available minis)
hobgoblins in armor dyed scarlet, thick-thewed bugbear berserkers, goblin worg riders and skirmishers and archers, and the scaled ones as well, who often towered over the rest (some kind of dragons and or half dragons, reading the text - all unique, I believe)
Tiamat, the Queen of Evil Dragons
half dragon leader (this is THE bad guy, half dragon, half goblinoid)
hobgoblins and goblins
owl-riding wild elves
black dragon
Wyrmlord Saarvith
human druid lich
Eight hobgoblins, two hell hounds (first wave); six hobgoblins Hobgoblin Bladebearer
Hobgoblin cleric 3
the strange and terrible dragonspawn that they faced as part of the horde army were just the advance scouts of an even greater infernal host of devils, fiends, and Tiamat's spawn
blackspawn raiders - hobgoblins of some kind, I guess
blue dragon
Map information:
The map that depicts a road cutting through a forested glade can be used to play out the first encounter, Marauder Attack (see page 14). The map that shows a street with buildings on either side is designed for the Streets of Blood encounter (see page 91) that occurs during the Battle of Brindol. It can also be used for the encounter titled Dirty Rotten Looters (see page 43). The map that depicts a worked stone complex with dragon statues placed around its perimeter is for use with the climactic encounter of the adventure, Inner Sanctum (see page 109).

| | Interesting that we get another map of a Tiamat temple when we are getting one in Wardrums. Not the greatest of planning, hopefully they are different maps! | | Fastest dropping DCI ranking on record! Champion of Juiblex | |

| Some other mentions/refinements ...
Azarr Kul (half-blue dragon hobgoblin cleric of Tiamat) Doom Hand Cleric (3rd level hobgoblin cleric of Tiamat) Hobgoblin Regulars (13hp means they aren't hobgoblin warriors or sergeants - so maybe another mini?) Dragonspawn (reference to a hatchery) Kulkor Zhul War Adepts (?hobgoblin cleric?) Blackspawn Raiders (?hobgoblin fighters or dragonspawn?) Blue Abishai
Dragons Tyrgarun (large blue dragon) Abithriax Varanthian Regiarix (black dragon) Ozyrrandion ('youngest' champion, green dragon)

Mat Smith through all his articles has refused to give any info on modules (including Red hand of Doom) outside of the back cover text and then WOTC start stick excerpts up on the website! [V] | | Champion of the Zhentarim: Manshoon, Fzoul and Scyllua Darkhope

| Ohhh, I hope we're getting more Hobgobs. As soon as I get a few more, they're going to need more space away from the regular gobbos...Hopefully, any new Hobgobs will look more like the Bladebearers-I like their looks best.
And of course a Half-Dragon wouldn't be entirely unwelcome.
And some sort of Cleric would be MOST welcome.
But of all the speculation we've been looking at, I'm hoping for the Worg-riders the most. Worgs should never have been CE to begin with. LE/CE or LE all the way. That way it won't look funny to see the Worg in one faction, and the rider in another. I think we have to understand that Mat takes his orders from WotC brass. He likely has been told not to give any info about the adventure because there were articles prepared for the web site.

In a word: Marketing
Notice that they really don't give us much detail. Just enough to whet our appetites and induce us to buy (or hopfully buy).

| just to get a complete overview of hinted at figures, which are as yet not released as a mini:
Intro: Bugbear Berserker Goblin Worg Riders Goblin Archers Azarr Kul, Half-Hobgoblin/Half-Blue Dragon Warchief Hobgoblin Warpriest of Doom (Doom Hand Cleric?) Green Dragon (maybe the Aberrations one, maybe a new one?) Owl-riding Wild Elf Black Dragon (maybe the Dragoneye one, maybe a new one?) Human Druid Lich Aspect of Tiamat (WotDQ)
Marauder Attack: Hobgoblin Regular Hobgoblin Doom Hand Cleric
Fane of Tiamat: Blackspawn Raider Blue Abishai (that would be cool!!!) Hobgoblin War Adept
I sure hope some of these will be made into minis soon (War Drums or WotDQ please!). Now somebody go out and buy the adbventure and tell us all about it!

| I don't think we're going to get all of these, as much as we'll get "recommendations" about which DDM to use for it.
For instance, the blue dragon is a Large, which we already have one of. I suspect they'll be "recommending" the bladebearer hobgoblin for several encounters as well.
But I'd love to see a wild elf on a giant owl mini. It would be mighty convenient for a homebrew campaign I'm cooking up. | | Jeff Quick, Philadelphia 22 Successful Trades: benimoto, bonepinhamer, bradu, Changeling, dnd3eplayer, drowdude, Drift, Gausse, Ghendar, Ihawk, ikill4adollar, Khaibit_ema_Neteru, Lance H, marjorie, MeepoTheMighty, mulkhoran, Puggins, Ryngard, vrecknidj, wuzzard, xbrendanx, Zenako (x2) Pending Trades:
