| Ok, there is also a crystal clear picture of the starter in Dragon. I'm getting out my magnifying glass right now to see what is in the background...
The picture of warduke on this site does not due it justice. This is one of the most detailed minis I've ever seen, and the chimera, wow. Even the goblin underboss looks impressive when seen this way. | | Fastest dropping DCI ranking on record! Champion of Juiblex

| There MAAAAY be a 2 giant centipedes at the feet of the elf guy.
There are black dragon like wings in the background, I'll need to check my MM are to see what it is.
I think I see the mindflayer in front of the dragon wings.
I think warduke's shield is in the botton right corner.
I think the quagotth or something like it is in the background on the left.
The pictures on the side are as fuzzy as before.

| took a picture and tried blowing it up. Not great, but,
the centipedes now look more like armored arms from a dead body.
small, tiny chance there is a round monster with long tentacles (ustiglar?) in the tree on the right, but I think it is a round bump with vines on it.
It is not the mind flayer in front of the wings, but the orc's hair, but there are big, black wings in the background.
Can't really make out any details, guess this was a failed experiment. | | Fastest dropping DCI ranking on record! Champion of Juiblex

I think this is just the orc mauler's shield. Check out the shape in this picture from Lemonbutter -
quote: I think warduke's shield is in the botton right corner.
Even more orc mauler - his mace appears to have a skull face.
The two unnamed on the side appear to be Warduke, and what I think is the Hill Giant Chieftan. The HGC almost appears to have a giant sicle or hammer. Now that the gems of the set are comming to the forefront, I can't wait till Winter Fantasy to see all these minis.

| The picture of the orc mauler mini shows his shield in the shape of a dragon wing with two claws, the picture is a little more stylized but its probably the same thing.

| I think we saw a much better picture a long time ago, I think it was from amazon. Gotta agree that we might see some common(?) centipedes in War Drums. The side of booster is definately Wemic, Warduke and Hill Giant Chief.

| | I agree with those saying the side of the box has the Wemic and the Warduke. However, I still think the identity of the third figure is far from resolved. It doesn't appear to be the Hill Giant Barbarian to me. It could be the Hill Giant Chieftan, a Warforged Charger, an Umberhulk carrying a Neogi, or something totally new. | | What is the name of the Hill Giant Chieftain in the 'Against the Giants' series? **edit** Google says Nosnra **edit** Squinting at the text blobs beneath the bottom image on the side of the box, it looks like it is possibly a two word name, first word longer than the second, when compared against the text blobs for the other two figures. | But would WotC really do two Swarms in succession?
I'm thinking/hoping not. I think that a Monstrous Centipede of Small or Medium size would make more sense. Add that to the changing dimensions of a swarm in RPG, and I think it make more sense to have a Common Medium/Small Monstrous Centipede than another Swarm mini.

| The bottom pic on the side looks like it's likely the Hill Giant Chief but as has been pointed out the nametag underneath looks like 2 words. That could be anything but it really looks like a giant pulling back to throw a rock. The "dragon wing" is definitely the Orc Mauler's shield (as has been stated before). Top left on the side is definitely Wemic.
The middle side pic is holding it's huge shield and sword in the same positions that Warduke is (plus has a one word nametag).
The centipede looks like a big centipede or two (definitely not a swarm, though).
It would be nice if this pic wasn't so grainy. I blew it up to 350% but after 200% you don't get any greater detail/clarity. Still a decent scan, though. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a.
