| | Skirmish stats would be tough to configure, but it could be a very good tilegrabber. It has AC 20, 50 hp, DR 5 (10 in RP), regeneration, acid and cold resistance and SR to go along with Flight 10. You'd have to send a beater to kill it, but costing it would be tough with all those abilities. | |

Its only CR 7 in the RP side of things so it shouldnt be that expensive in DDM | |

Huge Forest Giant? from which book are they? Sounds like a good possibility for the huge giant we'll see in WotDQ, rather see an Athag though. But the logic suggested that forest creatures would be smaller than their generic counterparts (Forest Troll anyone?).

| | The look is something that I have noticed that did change. They weren't so dragon looking before. I believe they first appeared in the orginal Monster Manual 2. But as 3rd edition...can't remember maybe Monsters of the Realms. | |

I know that Abishai are quite often seen in Sigil (Planescape). Always thought they were some kind of demon/outsider. Never knew they had something to do with dragons. Can't call the source book. I didn't even know they were upgraded to D&D 3.x

I will use this oppertunity to once again advide people who dont know that MoF does have Realms-Only monsters....But the other 65% of the book is NOT FR spacific.
You really should scoop this book up.

Nice plug there Dooku. Yeah, I really hated the artwork/content of MMII and Fiend Folio, it never occured to me that I should take a look at MoF as a monster supplement. You can make just about anything work in any campaign. It's a fantasy game afterall. I'll check that book out. Is MoF 3.5 or 3.0 ed.?

"Abishai are the torturers and wardens of the first two circles of Baator. they owe fealty to tiamat, the queen of chromatic dragons. not coincidentally, the five different colors of abishais have supernatural affinities with chronatic dragonkind.
they resemble gothic gargoyles, standing between 5 feet and 7 feet tall and weighing between 250 and 500 pounds. they have the wings of bats, vicious claws, snapping jaws and a prehensile tail that whips about the abishai's body constantly, ready to strike with a magic sting. Abishai's scales are somewhat duller than the scales of their five draconic counterparts.
