| | Did a lot of trading in my first year, then hit a lull. Have started up again with a vengeance, and currently have four trades on the go. One thing I've started doing is helping the locals to finish their sets, old to new. And, as most other traders have noticed, the nice older stuff (even the commons) is getting harder and harder to come by. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| Since I don't buy cases, I have less to trade. I do have a bunch of Archfiends commons and uncommons for trade, but my list isn't currently up-to-date. I hope to find a spare afternoon this month so I'm ready for War Drums.
With no cases, and the fact I only buy 3 packs per set, I'll need everything. | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

| | I'm more of a chatter than a trader currently. Most of the stuff I get comes through E-bay for the most part. That's ok, yack. At least you're trading with me! [:p]
As for me, ever since I started trading two years ago, I've been pretty consistent. Believe it or not, since then I've never had a day where I didn't have a single pending trade. But that's probably because of the 2-4 week travel time of the packages.
But I definitely do trade in spurts, and the best time to do lots of trades is approximately a month after the new set arrives. Just about the time when the excitement and hype goes down and people are more relaxed and "sane" to trade. [:D]
Believe me, you don't want to join the feeding frenzy when you don't have any of the new stuff for trade. And even then, it would be wise to wait for Zenako's new pricing list unless you are absolutely sure you are getting a good or fair deal.
But yeah, I don't see too many of the old timers (WakeXXX, Bassman2972, and Krush are the notable sick exceptions [:p]) trading much anymore. Partly because they've already completed their sets or have already amassed a more than satisfying haul. I noticed this decline right after Aberrations.
But I'm in the business of selling DDM figs, so as long as there is demand locally, I'll always be in lurking about. [)]

Heck I'll trade with you Yack. Just give me a spare moment to update my list and it might actually mean something. | I usually trade to swap duplicates that I have for duplicates I don't have. I have this pipe dream about finding the time and people to RPG with...
Anyhow, there are lots of people out there with minis who don't use this site. In fact, its safe to say that the majority of minis users aren't affiliated with any of the minis websites actively. So I run into them at tournaments and conventions and trade with them directly. Fortunately, I have trade fodder still that just about anyone could want. | | Thanks for the memories. :)

| Overall, trading has considerably slowed down for me. I have completed about 100+ trades and I would say that 2/3 of that was from the first 3 or so sets. However, after each set release I always get involved in a good number of trades to work out my needs. I think the reason for my slow down is that I don't need to fill in as many gaps that I had when the first few sets were released. I don't need 6 Hill Giants anymore because there are others sculpts being released.
During the Harbinger, Dragoneye and Archfiend days you didn't think about an alternate sculpt of a monster being released. When I saw a lizardfolk produced in Harbinger I thought this would be the only one ever released and tried to scoop up as many as possible. Now I know that they will release different sculpts of some of the more popular monsters so I only need to pick up a few.
I actually have 6 Harbinger Mind Flayers because I thought that this would be the only mind flayer ever released. I had to have many for my RPG so I went crazy trying to gather as many as possible. Now, however, we have the Telepath and soon the one from war Drums. | | Give me more MIND FLAYERS!
