| | I only played the demo, but decided not to buy it after that. It was too similar to Warcraft III I thought. I was expecting something a bit more D&D I guess and a bit of Eberron too (I like that setting but have not been in a RPG group since before it came out). I'm not too into the real time strategy games anyway though. If you like Warcraft III though I can't imagine not liking it. | | | |

| | I actually just picked this up on saturday and started playing it on sunday. Its actually pretty fun. I like RTS games and it has not really extremely innovative. The story is pretty good so far and its enjoyable. I would recommend it if you are a RTS fan. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Ar:24 of 60! GoL:60 of 72! Ab:59 of 60! Dk:58 of 60! Af:60 of 60 Complete! | | I enjoyed it but not enough for replay purposes. | I played the demo, and I wasn't very impressed. The main characters were kind of boring, and have "non-D&Dish" abilities. That is not to say that it isn't a balanced, working combat system, its just that its not very D&D.
I understand that straight up D&D rules aren't going to work well in an RTS, but I was still hoping for something closer to them. Like others have said, it was basically Warcraft III with D&D monsters/races/names. Some people might like it, but I would suggest downloading the demo before buying it. | | Champion of the Revenant Knight of the Elf Duskblade Complete Trades: Oni, Kidkach, Melrune, callidusx3

| | i actually have the game and i´m playing the campaing, the game system is nothing new even have some weird focus on D&D is the same as Warcraft III, About the story i like it because is eberron and you could se lots of creatures from D&D in game very equal to they in ilustrations, but the story is a little dull is really equal to warcraft one, and i see that character are so powerfull to be in eberron, remember eberron tends to low leveling. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

| | I played the demo once, but starting with the Warforged is a bad think, if you don't know how to repair him. | | My Haves and wants: http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Janos_M.

A little dull? I think that was one of it's major problems, the story did nothing to peak my interest. | | "I was sittin' here eatin' my muffin, drinkin' my coffee, replayin' the incident in my head, when I had what alcoholics refer to as a moment of clarity." - Jules Winnfield Sales/Trades Bad (1): Ironfist Boulderbender Trades/Sales completed (8.): Danthl, Dafrca, Garyaxe, qillan_dvra, realmaster, Vandal_Savage, cavedweller, unearthed arcana. | I've played through the first couple levels. It's nothing compared to Warcraft III at all. I wish I had picked it up a little later after the price went down but nothing to do about that.
The one thing I really like up to this point is Bastion, the warforged Juggernaut. He just looks and behaves awesomely. | | Champion of the Beholder and Beholderkin

Wait till you hit the later missions. He has two different possible upgrades for his wrecking ball. Spikes [buyable from the artifact shop] or The eye of a Cryohydra. I know which one I'd want. :)
Be sure to get Kael an upgrade or two [Each Champion can have two, one offensive and one defensive.], you'll find him very useful for the final order mission.
The problem is it doesn't live up to Liquid's hype [most of the stuff they were going on about was done in either Blood and Magic or Gorgon's throne and they haven't done much better.]

| Don´t you all think it is not exagerated? they fight a Horned Devil (well they are an army) but the characters are extremely powerful for the setting of eberron.
I don´t know from were are the umbaragen, they are a little weird, and the lizardfolk are a little silly, i was thinking about other armies. I guess they tried to make something like Warcraft with this :
Silver Flame = Alliance Lizardfolks = Horde Umberagens = Undeads
But the only very powerful and full eberron is the silver flame faction. | | Knight of the Quori Champion of King Kaius III of Karrnath

They did start work on it saround the same time of Eberron's release, so it's understandable it doesn't have the Eberron feel fully fleshed out. | | Champion of the Beholder and Beholderkin

Remeber the entire game is set on Xendrik, continent of variable continuity. The Umbragen are apparently another post Giant Empire elf faction to go with Aerenal, Valenar and the Drow. Lizard Folk as a faction are as much an Eberron thing as warforged.
It was nice not to see Orcs.
