| | As far as im aware its a normal starter except for the change to maps and that every starter has 2 mini's that are constant. Other wise it has the normal amount of figures, 12 if im correct. If im not im sure someone smarter then me will be along to correct me shortly. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Ar:24 of 60! GoL:60 of 72! Ab:59 of 60! Dk:58 of 60! Af:60 of 60 Complete! | | Although I have no evidence , I agree with the 12 minis in the starter. How else would you build your warband in the release tournaments? | | | |

| The product page doesn't mention dice or damage counters, but I'd assume they should be there.

| | After looking at that page again you can also notice the price is listed at $12.99. Arent starters usually $19.99 or 15.99 or something, i know they anret 12.99. | | Ha:19 of 80! De:43 of 60! Yeah, that's a mistake that has not been corrected. We know they are $19.99 MSRP. | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis | |

Given that the release events use 1 starter and 1 booster, I'm pretty sure that the starters have at least a booster's worth of pieces in them. Otherwise, some warbands would have trouble hitting 200 points ...
I just wish I knew what the distribution of the figures is in the starters ... 1 rare, 2 fixed commons ... then what? | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. I think we were told that it was 1 rare, 3 uncommons, and 8 commons (including the 2 fixed ones).
If I can find it before the PDF finishes downloading, I'll post a link to the original post [)]

| Here's the description of whats in a starter on GO's website.
quote: The 'War Drums' Starter Set contains 10 randomized and 2 non-randomized miniatures, stat cards for each miniature, including a second epic-level stat card with certain figures, 8-page Starter rulebook, 48-page Advanced rulebook, two double-sided poster maps, spell template sheet, damage counters, and a d20 die.
so we get spell template sheets, damage counters,an epic level card and a D20 in additon to the maps and minis.
One thing not clear is if you will get an epic card or only if you get epic rares in the starter. I think its the second one.

That seems rather plain to me. Only with certain figures will you receive the epic-level stat card. Since there are only a certain number of Epic figures, we should only receive the Epic Card to go with them.
I don't think it's very logical otherwise. | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

If they follow something suit with the other starter boxes, then the breakout above is pretty much on the mark. Would be strange if they went 1/4/7 and just out there if they went higher or lower in the un/common change up. | | You see! There ARE others out there just like me. What? Why are laughing?
