They already said all mounted minis are going to be Rare, for their diffculty in assembly, design, wtfever.

| I'd really like to see CG get a mountie next. Then each faction will have one Mounted Melee Attack piece.

Actually, it was said that "ALMOST all mounted figures will be rare, based on construction and paint." I'm not sure that's an exact quote, but I am sure the almost was in there for the MP preview or the MDP preview, can't remember wich. | |

Yeah, I remember them saying that as well. It was for the Mounted Paladin preview, IIRC.
But having said that, if they can't manage to do a mounted figure as basic and 'hordeworthy' as a freaking goblin worg rider as an uncommon, I reckon you can pretty safely assume every mounted figure will be rare for the immediate future, and the 'almost all' blurb was just marketing semi-truth... | |

| All good things will arrive in their time. WotC has to learn to crawl before they can run, and they are still learning about all this stuff.
Snig may have been oversized and over-raritied, but WotC now have 4 mounted minis under their belt, and I would wager that the Worg Rider will probably be HIGH on the priority list for a Large Uncommon status.
In a near-worst case scenario, if WotC were to produce the numbers required for an Uncommon and then spread the assembly/paint over a couple sets--it's possible that we could see a Worg Rider even sooner. I doubt that will happen, but it's worth remembering there are a multitude of ways to remove the hide from a deceased feline.
I also remember that once upon a time all the Large creatures were Rare...This is no different. | |
