I am wondering about some of the uniques. What stories/series can we find them in. If there is already a thread on this, please point it out to me.

Harbinger.
The Seven Uniques were from the Players handbook I believe.

Dragoneye.
Kerwyn, Human Rogue & Regdar, Human Fighter are both Iconics as well I think.
Urthok the Vicious - Where does he come from? Book?

What I would like to do is go set by set and see who comes from where.

Thanks,
Greg

Urthok, Rask and Snig are DDM specific.

Lord Soth is from Dragonlance but he was seen in Ravenloft as well.

Mordenkainen is the inventor of Magic Missile (Geyhawk?). lareth the Beautiful is from Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (Greyhawk).

I think Snurre and Soth are from Dragonlance, although I don't know for sure.

Thanks for that post, it was a great set of links!

Aberrations
Alusair Obarskyr - ????
Ryld Argith - From the War of the Spider Queen Novels - first seen in "Dissolution"

Deathknell
Rask, Half-Orc Chainfighter - DDM Specific (Unless someone knows something else)

AngleFire
Ulmo Lightbringer - ????
Mina, Dark Cleric - ????

Underdark
Artemis Entreri - The enemy of drizz, first seen in the Icewind Dale Trilogy.
Elminster of Shadowdale - Poster Boy Mage of Forgotten Realms (Like Mordenkainen for Grayhawk)
Rikka, Angelic Avenger - Seems like another DDM Specific figure

War Drums
Shuluth, Archvillain - ????
Snig, Worg Rider - DDM Specific , correct us if we are wrong.
King Obould Many-Arrows - The enemy of drizz from Books I haven't read yet.
Warduke - I am sure with this name it is DDM Specific

So as someone who has never played in or read any of the dragonlance products, storywise what book or series of books should I read first if I want to learn about Lord Soth and/or Mina?

You can read all about Alusair on the wizards site. She's a princess of Cormyr, currently acting as Regent (fill-in ruler) for her young brother. She's a tomboy who pays more attention to the military aspects of rulership. She leads the Purple Dragon Knights and Soldiers of Cormyr, if you're into theme bands.

I haven't read any of the novels, but here's what I gathered:

Mina is (sort of) the evil Joan of Arc in Dragonlance. She's a crusader for the One True God. She gathers an army and kicks butt all the way across Krynn through most of three books. At or near the end, it's revealed that her One True God is actually Takhisis, the Dragon Queen (sorta the DL equivalent of Tiamat).

Warduke was a character from the D&D cartoons of the 80s but he is a powerful human warrior and a Hierarch of the Horned Society. He sometimes works as a bounty hunter and assassin, and is heartless, cruel and short-tempered.

Ulmo Lightbringer appears in a wotc supplement but I can't recall which.

Shuluth, Archvillain was one of those silly characters that went head-to-head in a poll contest of who would win...silly thing but now he is official.

While his mini stats are based on the RToEE version, Lareth had his first appearance in T1 - "The Village of Hommlet". He still had Charisma 18 at that time.

Just to add a bit

Lidda also appeared in the Xbox Game "Dungeons & Dragons Heroes"
Drizzt and Artemis are playable characters in a few FR Video Games

Shuluth - Technically I would say his first appearance would be the Cover of the Psionics Handbook, looks more dead ringer to me than his WoL pic.
