True_Blue: whats your official title Jesse?
WOTC_Jesse: Howdy all - I'm the development manager of RPGs and D&D minis. That means that I work with D&D rules all day - good work if you can get it : )
True_Blue: After Sandstorm and Stormwrack, are they doing a ForestHunt (or some such theme) ?
WOTC_Jesse: No forest book on the schedule I'm afraid. There will be more terrain books - one in '06 and one in '07
True_Blue: Q: Will there be an effort to publish all of the rules, errata, Guy Rulings, in one place?
WOTC_Jesse: Yes - Shoe and Guy work very closely together. The next step is to get them all in one place. I'd like to see some thing along those lines before this year's world championships.
Sammael: Which rules do you find it most difficult to work with and balance? Spells, feats, PrCs, new subsystems?
WOTC_Jesse: New subsystems like Incarnum or Tome of Magic. They're easily the most challenging. In fact - nothing else is even close. We have such a large body of feats and spells to serve as benchmarks that power level concerns for those elements can be dealt with. With new systems, it's all up in the air - and they require a lot more playtesting as a result.
KaeYoss: What can you tell us about the special miniature we are to get in a couple of months? It's supposed to be "huge"... Will it be in the magazine itself or will we have to send in a coupon (if yes: will those of us who're not from America be able to get to them?)
WOTC_Jesse: There are two cool promos in the works - unfortunately, it's not for me to break that news.

WOTC_Jesse: But let me say this - I've already started pestering those with the goods to give me free copies
Rabulias: Will there be a new Mini HB hardcover?
WOTC_Jesse: There are none in the works right now. Minis HB broke a lot of new ground in the rpg, so we've used those design elements in other products. However, fans didn't respond well to the split nature of the product. What we're better off doing (because it serves you better) is making a clearer distinction between rpg accessory and minis accessory.
WOTC_Jesse: With the skirmish rules, we like to keep the rulebook as a living document. That means an online format.
roonechr: Do you guys actually HATE Gnomes or do you just think that WE hate Gnomes? :)
WOTC_Jesse: I don't like to talk about gnomes, but here goes:
WOTC_Jesse: They don't often find a place in my game : )
WOTC_Jesse: However, I'm on the record (check old dragon magazines) as saying that gnomes are my favorite race. We get too much mixed feedback about gnomes to really serve everyone. So gnomes get some, but not a lot of coverage - what makes you think we hate them?
True_Blue: 4 minis in 9 sets..
WOTC_Jesse: We're not great at making small minis. Our rares are our best-looking figs. And small rares are about as much fun as getting punched in the gut, so gnomes get less love than dwarves or elves. I'm not sure that's going to change
Jai: Can you mention a big addition to Player's Handbook II that helped warrant its creation?
WOTC_Jesse: Alternative class features. These are things that help your current rules elements serve a broader number of character concepts. Despite all the 3.x material, PC concepts are not infinite. This book helps that in a big way. Hence the important title. Oh - I also love the spells chapter.
Almalik: Is there much influence from outside the minis department as to what minis/settings to push a bit more than others?
WOTC_Jesse: No, Not really.
