| Odd choice of overlay, seeing that only one mini has an acid cone (Green Dragon). I would've expected a Sonic Cone sooner, since at least three minis off the top of my head use that (Destrachen, Steel Predator, Gulgar).

| Oh well, so they chose acid. It looks like WotC may plan to release all 5 "elements" with both cone styles in the kits. My only hope is that they not stick with one cone as long as they did with the cone of cold, 2 sq base. That sucker was used for far too long.
Personally, I think 3 months is long enough to distribute any given template in the RPGA kits. | |

Well, there have been rumors (official) that there was more Green Dragon luvin' on the way. What better time to uleash a cone template for acid?
I would expect a Large Green Dragon in WDQ.
Besides, how would one do a "sonic" template? Musical notes all over it? Exclamation points? Or lines showing the shockwave? None of those sound particularly appealing to me... | |

I have severe pity for the players in yalls campaigns when WDQ comes out. youre gonna be EVIL dms, arent you?

They tend to do them for both 2sq base and L-shaped corner. My guess is that that L-shaped corner template will appear in a few months. | |

| Personally, I would prefer blank templates without the swirling colours. That way I only need to carry a couple - and I know what everyone is going to say so don't.
2 x blank 30' cone (2 sq base and point base)
1 x blank 10'/20'/30' radius
? x blank rays (varying sizes)
? x blank walls
Then they could replace the templates with something else. Maybe items similar to the Fist of Emrikol and other such replica magic items, or perhaps Ioun Stone-shaped dice, or perhaps spend more on the GMR minis and give us some gucci ones - an albino Ankheg would have been nice.
