| I can make most things work in most factions, so that's not a terrible thing.
I keep hoping for more LG/CG slots so we get more of the good outsiders. good guys tend to summon then over the bad outsiders. [:P] | |

Can't argue that. All kinds of summonables are highly desirable. I still find it hilarious, however, to have a BBEG drop a couple of fiendish T-Rexes on a party of adventurers. It's more satisfying than a Meteor Swarm [}:)]

Tiamat's body is supposed to be dark, not full of color. It's usually protrayed as being dark-reddish-brown or black. | |

| Pretty impressive. That's pretty funny they had the Dragon Queen herself presiding over the EU championships.
How did the EU guys score the Aspect?
She looks good. I think the detail and accuracy of the White and Black hards are great. The Blue is close behind, but I can't say the Red and Green heads look particularly good.
352 puts her in beefy territory. Here is hoping for 4 breath weapons (fire cone, electricity line, cold cone, and acid line) and a save or die poison stinger.

| | Tiamat does look better sitting on the Dragon Shrine map than in the official preview. I think it's awesome that they scored a Tiamat to preside over things. Helmed Horrors on the Shrine is not a favorable matchup, though. | |

| I'm glad she made it there successfully! I'm also hoping that someone took some up-close pictures of her during the weekend's fun. It's production, all the way, and I think it looks great!
And there shouldn't be a stat card for Tiamat there, since that mini's stat card is still sitting on my computer at work... :) | |

Along the lines of skirmish im guessing she is going to have 2 or 3 Breath Weapons..something like this:

| WDQ will be a VERY Evil heavy set--I like IT! I can't wait to get a real scoop on Tiamat's stats...
But, then again, I'm the type that would like an Evil heavy set. Hopefully the Goodie-two-shoes ([)]) out there will get some DDM luvvin, too. I'd hate to see the baddies get ALL the affection. Most? Sure. All? Not so much fun there. | |

| Somewhat off topic response to the above: I have to admit the current heavy-Evil slant in this set, on top of what I already perceive to be an Evil-slant in DDM, is a little irritating. It's part of why I've been hoping for full stats in the previews; I'm not feeling much love as an LG/CG player, and I'd like to know up front if the dip in quantity for LG/CG in Dairy Queen will be compensated for in Skirmish-play quality.
Back on topic: Despite my sentiments above, sending along the Aspect as a hands-on preview was really cool of you, Shoe. It's little gestures like this that keep emphasizing that DDM's 'dev-team' has a genuine human side to it, and it's part of why I keep teaching more people how to play. | |

Yes - as an RPGer, I have to agree. I do feel sorry for those playing good factions, but RPG needs monsters.
I wonder, though, if a little more creativity in set selection might better serve both our needs. Some neutral creatures have already made it into good (e.g. earth and air elementals). To balance things out for skirmish, the decision could be made to put nearly all neutrals into LG and CG (e.g. putting all mephits, giant beetles and other insects, and most animals and gem dragons etc.there), to swell their ranks. | |

| Well.. it would be nice to see some Redeemed monsters, or things like the Stone Giant. I liked how he was put in LG. I really could care less what faction they put an Owlbear, Mind Flayer, etc in, as long as we got it for a miniature. If we got a redeemed Mind Flayer, I'd be stoked just to get one. An Owlbear that was CG wouldnt bother me either. And so on.
The problem is, there'd be "purists" as I call them, who would throw a fit for some reason. Which I dont understand. But you still see it sometimes with different miniatures now, they'll be like "Bbbbuutttt that mini should be this!" and so on. I'm finding it kind of annoying to see every elf as CG, every dwarf LG, most drow as CE(and a few CG), Orcs only in CE, etc. I would *love* to see more variety. And thus, Warband Building would be more useful. But it doesnt seem as if we've seen much of that so far.
So unless they start putting monsters in the good factions, I say the less Good peices the better for the most part. Most of us are after the monsters, and whatever factions they are in, is what I want the most peices of. | |
