It has to be.
That would be neat, but a lot of fire related minis for one set. Guess it would synergize with the HFE. | | Originally posted by Schooly_D Username - he deals in minis Champion of Lhesh Haruuc Shaarat'kor

| | Seems extremely likely since Mephits aren't elementals. I just hope it looks substantially different from the Elemental Wall (which is very easy to repaint as a magma elemental). | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | A magma hurler could be pretty nice.

I do see an uncanny reseblance to the walking wall though.

| | I've never actually seen one before. I always assumed that 'hurler' referred to throwing blobs of magma. From the artwork it looks like 'hurler' refers to puking blobs of magma. Maybe it should be called the Magma Spewer.... | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Commander (#32) in only 6 months. Where's my pie? | IIRC, in the Miniatures Handbook the base stats for the Magma Hurler are for a medium creature.

| | Personally this wouldnt thrill me too much, but its not like it'd be horrible. SO I guess I'm just indifferent when it comes to it. If it is, I wonder if the metagame will shift to a lot of Immune Fire things. The Gauth might be pushed even farther down, if any of these peices are actually skirmishable, which would be a big *if*. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

| Magma Hurler fits - but don't forget, Shoe dropped a hint months ago that there are two large minis fitting the pattern ***** ******. The Magma Hurler is only a medium.
Of course, that's not to say that the set doesn't also contain a medium mini fitting the same pattern - but just how many ***** ****** minis are there going to be in this set? [:0]
As there don't seem to be any large fire immune elementals fitting ***** ****** from MM I, II or III, my guess would be that this is actually a new large elemental creature from MM IV - and not a Magma Hurler. | | Champion of the Bodak.Knight of the Aboleth.Squire of Gnomes. | Someone on the WotC-boards (I lurk there) said that an advanced Magma Hurler would be a great large uncommon and that it would do nice as a proxy for a Large Fire Elemental.
I couldn't agree more! I don't think we will get the large uncommon Fire Elemental this set, but it would be about time. I'd take an advanced Magma Hurler in that case!

I think it's spitting magma in to it's scoop like hand to hurl it like a whiffle ball.
I'm not really opposed or inclined to want this fig.

If I remember right the Magma hurler "spews" the magma into its "hand" and then proceeds to hurl it at the enemy. If nothing else it sounds like an upside down demonic monkey. In all seriousness though, it should have a wicked ranged attack.

Looks to me like he is spewing that magma into its hand to hurl.

My thoughts exactly ... we may have a magma hurler as our other 'fire elemental', but it doesn't have to be large just because the name is 5 letters followed by 6 letters.
However,I think we'll be seeing quite a bit of MM IV monsters in WotDQ... | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. BAD EBAY SELLERS LIST (CLICK HERE): AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Shoe did say "Large-sized ***** ******". Maybe it is advanced to Large. As others have said, it would make a good LFE proxy.
