This happens with many website when there is a big event (anyone try to register for Gen Con exactly when registration opened?!

Refreshing the page will only make the things worse for their server.
The entire server crashed, which means that it wasn't good enough to handle the number of concurrent requests sent. They updated the page prior to the crash and it said "10:00 am." Not "around 10:00 am." | |

This is why I wish it was possible to order in the middle of the night (even 2am or so). A lot of the people are asleep, and only the diehards will be up to order it. However, it would have worked to keep the load more balanced.
I do agree, though. The Paizo store software is exceedingly bulky and slow to respond to begin with. | |
