Except that they state that they'll be shipping the mini out at the end of June, and expect about 6-8 weeks for domestic delivery, and slightly longer for international. Looks like it'll be about 2 months wait for you there madda...

The shipping is expensive because (in theory) it's 2-3 day priority. The HGB promo cost ~US$7 (shipping plus discounted magazine). The dragonrider is ~US$20 (cost + shipping + month-to-month subscription).

3 times the price for a Huge mini....seems about par for the course.

2-3 day priority? The listing said that the dragon will be delivered in 6-8 WEEKS, more for international orders.

Sure, it ships out in 6-8 weeks. Once it ships, it takes 2-3 days [:D]

It only took ~35 minutes for paizo to process my order. It seems there's some interest in this promo after all [:D]

Well, I managed a phone order.... $14.95 (including shipping) for 1 figure. I'm not sure it will be worth it, but I'm willing to take the gamble.

Further FYI:

* The guy on the phone said they have plenty of figures left, and he said that the figures will be shipped sometime in the next 6 weeks.

* Paizo currently doesn't have the figures (they're awaiting receipt of them), and they need a WotC approval before they can begin shipping. However, once they have the figures and approval, they will ship right away.

Hey there all,

I highly recommend that you try the website before resorting to a phone call. If our bandwidth is limited, our customer service staff is even moreso.

That said.. they are selling briskly. We had a bit of trouble this morning with 500 people trying to fit through one door at exactly 10am.. but we have cleared that up now and shut down all parts of our web operations except for this sale.

I have word that they are selling approximately one per 8 seconds.. roughly.. and that over 500 are sold as of half an hour ago.

Good luck to you all... I will check back here later with more updates.

Got mine, although the last step of the checkout crashed. When I tried it again, it automatically removed it from my cart (so I figured it had gone through). Checked my order history and it's ordered. Still now confirmation email, but then I don't tend to get one when ordering from their site (already talked to custserv about this).

Only problem with that is, after going through almost all the order process and clicking the final Place the Order button, it never came up with a confirmation screen for me. Haven't received an email either, and the My account section is shut down so I can't check to see if the order ever got placed or not...

I'm not sure what happened with my order, I got all the way upto the confirm your order button and when I clicked it took me to a you do not have permission to view this page. I get the same error when I try to view my account or subscriptions and I haven't recieved a confirmation email. My cart did get emptied so hopefully it went through.

Ordered via phone. Took all of 5 minutes. Was there another shipping option other than UPS ground? Cost me 16.81 total. And he said late July/Early August shipping.

"Sorry. The requested URL was not found on this server, or you do not have permission to access this area."

Did my order go through? Did it not go through? How long do I have to wait to find out. Why do I get the same error messaage when I try to check my account and my subscriptions? If I order again will I end up with two of everything or will it supercede the first one? If I miss out on the offer while waiting to find out what happend will I be pissed?

Actually, I'll save you some time. The answer to that last one is "yes." [)]

I got the same error messages as everyone else (and when placing the final order button), and figured I'd try to reorder it. When attempting to check out again with that item it removes it from my cart before I actually get to the billing information. Soo... chances are that the order actually got placed, otherwise I don't see why it'd do that (even tried using different browsers each time). Sure would be nice to get that confirmation email though.

EDIT: Just got the confirmation email. So it looks like orders that are crapping out at the end are getting placed. [:)]

Thats the message I got too, but I got my confirmation email a couple minutes ago so you probably have nothing to worry about.

It took 38 minutes for the confirmation email to arrive, I got it at 2:10 and the order went in at 1:22 according to the email I recieved.

Irony is that for me at least the net Dragon Mags sold will be the same, I just won't be picking it up from a local store (sometimes bookstores, sometimes LGS, sometimes FLGS....) So in a way I will be getting the mini for free since I won't be paying Retail for the Magazine like I have been for a while....

4:15pm and my order went through fine, same as Zenako.

Most e-commerce sites just don't have the bandwidth or hardware to handle as many concurrent connections as Paizo got earlier today. It's not surprising that so many people had problems.

Thanks to communication with Paizo customer service, I managed to get the dragon for $18.95, so only $9 for S&H (instead of $18). Apparently, they didn't have the time to update their database with additional int'l shipping options before the sale went live, but they were able to fix it manually. That's a fair price, as far as I'm concerned. Can't wait and thanks again for the assistance!

When I called there was just two shipping options, UPS 3-5 days for $5 or UPS next day for about $6. But they will not actually be shipped until the end of July / beginning of August the person on the phone said. He said set does not come out until beginning of July, then the figs need to be sent to Paizo, then Paiso sends to the painter. Then finally after they get it back the actual shipping time to us kicks in. I guess the choice does not matter except the 2nd choice has insurance.

Looks like it was a good thing I waited until this afternoon to order! Mine went through with no problems, now that the rush has passed.

Does anyone else have that disease where they can't buy only one thing from an online store? It gets me every time. I figured I was paying shipping anyway so I tossed a Steel Squire template into my cart before checking out.

Got mine ordered without any problem when the site was first fixed. Now the aweful wait begins...

On the bright side my new house should be finished in about 3 weeks meaning my game room will be ready for my rediculous amount of minis. I swear I am worse than a crack addict with these minis. No wonder the wife makes fun of me, but she would kill me if she knew how much money I spend on this plastic crap (I mean crack).

I threw a few things I haven't been able to find locally. At one point I was at $150- without the dragon. [B)]

I had originally tried right when they went on sale, but saw how slow it was and ended up running some errands. About an hour and a half later, i got right through and got my order in. So i was pretty happy with the speed of the order. 1,300 isnt bad, but I wonder if you will actually make it to the 5,000 mark. Thats still awhile away. If you dont, where do the extras go? Will they be up for purchase?

Also did anyone try to order more than 1? I wonder if it'd allow you to.

So, around 3,700 left out of 5,000. That will make it only moderately collectible. Sports cards with runs of 5,000 used to be pretty good around 10 years ago, but now you need really short runs (i.e. ~ < 200) to make something shoot through the roof.
