| First I'd like to give kudos to Wizards for trying something new. The Griffon Rider, yes some people hate it and others love it. What do I think? I think it's great to see Wizards coming up with varied poses. How many threads are out there about how this piece looks like that piece? The Griffon Rider is a step in the right direction. I see a rider tracking an outlaw(or whatever) and having to make a sharp left all the while keeping it's mark in site. For Eberron I see the racing going on in Sharn. Either you want Wizards to try something new or keep the same old stale formula. I personally like new.
Some of the things in the good factions bother me. As a predominate good faction player some stuff bothers me. Meepo in LG (when we could of had the little Kobold from Neverwinter Deekin(SP?), Tavern Brawler (why give us(the good loving people) a wasted piece? Maybe he is skirmish great who knows but I doubt it. He scream any faction just like the Sage. Knowing drinkers they are equal opportunity fighters), Tordek(yes he maybe a skirmish king but where is the King himself? I get a icon over a big time and I thought promised piece King Breunor. I never was and never will be a icon supporter. Give me people I've adventured with not some folk who have been everything.)
Another strange thing fire has been CE but now the HFE has a CN faction. Yet the SFE gets to keep being CE, strange. The Bonded Summoner is a piece I would've liked to have seen 4 different times. It also would've been an oppportunity to make other Genasai(sp?). Keeping in faction we could've had water, fire, earth, and wind. Though I guess we still can but by "mixing things up a bit".
In closing yes I know who am I but these are my thoughts. As someone who's lost that love for the game and will try and support it by collecting the good factions. This is what I see about the set. Now I only commented on the good factions as that's what I will now always be looking at. I will add this for those who care. I've never liked nor cared to be forced into paying 20 bucks for something I don't like. Never once have I supported this single SKU for huge sets. If they would've changed that maybe I would've still bought a case and traded. But forcing my hand has indeed forced me to buy singles only. Now I'm not a marketing major but I'd have to think there are more people in my boat than in the other. Some folk only want certain minis and probably would have bought a few boosters, but why should they do it for more money? | | Champion of Jarlaxle Sets: Star Wars Year one complete,44/60 Champions of the Force,0/60 Bounty Hunters

| I like it too.
It's hard to say how it'll balance. Everything looks more or less centered so as long as it comes out of the booster relatively straight I think it'll have a chance of standing up properly. THe old boiling trick could be needed to set it right though.
As someone suggested last night you might have to bring sticky tape to hold them down to the battle maps. [:p]

| As long it and can keep its balance and not tip over and doesn't come folded in 2 in the booster. (remember the bone devil). I like it! | | Champion of the Peryton Vindicated Champion : Pit Fiend, Devourer DW: Duergar Priest RPG Only!!!! The Drumming Drunkn' DM | |

| | I really like the Giffon Rider and am glad to see them getting more bold with poses, etc. My only concern is the functionality of the mini. We all know that when boosters get opened, frequently figs are bent or misshapen...and this one screams problematic. | | | |

Likewise, although I'm not going to have any for long if I pull them. Two words: trade filler. | | Champion of the Prismatic Golem
