| Exactly - Arch Mage is medium with save of 10 equals yummy snack.
I just thought of one more good thing about the Pack Lord - since he is a commander and is so tough to kill he is great for connecting Iron Golems and Elementals (like Chraals) to. Of course Chraals aren't so good in epic. | | Member of Team Amish 3rd Place in 2007 Constructed World Championship My combined DDM Skirmish record of all games ever played in all formats. 486 - 188 - 4

Just wondering, would it be easier to scan and post or download and post these images you have of the stats? | I'm so underwhelmed with the CG figures in this set. As an almost exclusive CG player, I'm starting to get pretty tired of this trend of figures that just aren't worth the cost. I really feel like the Ogre Skirmisher is exactly what CG needed.
Storm Archer and Warden of the Wood strike me as figures with potential, but perhaps not quite enough. I'm most dissapointed in the Griffon Cavalry and Goliath Cleric of Kavaki.
In other news, I like the following- -Aasimar Fighter -Tordek -Golden Protector -Azer Fighter -Cadaver Collector -Stirge -War Weaver -Purple Worm -Ogre Skirmisher
Satisfied with - -Warden of the Wood -Storm Archer -Large Fang Dragon -Dragonborn Fighter -Meepo -Dracolich -Eldritch Giant -Redspawn Firebelcher -Large Green Dragon -Magma Hurler
Disspointments- -Griffon Cavalry (could have been sooo great![:(]) -Golatih Cleric of Kavaki (it looks too cool to give such underwhelming stats) -Spellscale Sorcerer (DCs are all too low to be worthwhile, but counterspell is awesome)
Didn't like in the first place, and still don't like- -Witchknife (These things are just lame-o. Universally hated is right) -Blackspawn Exterminator(manages to be ugly, lame and overcosted all at once) -Greenspawn Razorfiend (did LE REALLY need this? also hate the spawn) -Slaughterstone Eviscerator (looks too sci-fi/steampunk/impractical/undwarfly - don't care what the stats are, I won't play it)

| I really like the Warden. She definitly has my vote for one of the best figures of the set. You can get some fun and strong builds with plants or animals now. Fearless Dire Bears is very cool, and may start showing up. It will be interesting to see what tech will work well with them and the Warden.
As for the Dragonborn Fighter, I like the figure. It requires the right synergy (such as the Cleric of Dol Arrah and a magic weapon) but matches up fairly well with the Justice Archon.
Dragonborn Fighter vs. Justice Archon 30 vs. 32 Both level 6 4 Spd vs. F6 - Adv. JA AC 22 vs. AC 19 - Adv DF Both HP 65 (Fearless under Dol Arrah vs. any commander) Melee Attacks: +10/+5 (both) Melee Damage: 10 vs. 10 magic (or JS) - Adv. JA Type: Dragon vs. Outsider (Dragon hate vs. Banish) Immune Fear Aura vs. Immune Electric Cleave vs. DR5 Dodge Dragons vs. Flight Breath Weapon vs. Justice Strike Dragon Bane vs. Bold
In most cases, the JA is a better choice, but the Dragonborn Fighter might be a good choice to pair up with CoDA or Couatl. I don't think LG is going to get many hitters in the 30 point range. It seems like they typically need the harder hitters to come from the titan builds or the Gith types (high AC, low damage). The DF suffers from low speed, unlike the Gith and JA, but otherwise fits the mould. I do agree, he should not have been rare, but I wouldn't be too upset to pull him at the pre-release. 25 AC against dragons in a dragon-heavy set, plus better to-hits and damage against them isn't too shabby.
Just my two cents. [:)] | | Vindicated Champion of Green Slaad Champion of the Feyr Correct Unhallowed Called Shot - Bone Naga Night Below Called Shot - Skulk

You know what the delicious irony here is? A lot of CG's best figures this set are in CE, and brought in via Warband Building!
When you look at it from that angle, suddenly CG's not quite so bad off. Yeah, we got some real stinkers this set, and several more "So close, but not quite" entries...we definitely got a few good ones. The Warden of the Wood is going to be great, the Spellscale has possible anti-metagame implications, the Clawfoot could be genuinely interesting, and I'm going to be cautiously optimistic about the Storm Archer. Plus most of what we got from CE via the Greenfang Druid or Warden of the Wood is good.
Could be better, but I'm not as disappointed as I was a few days ago. I still think LG made out like bandits in this set, however. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

The DC's are all too low? You mean the one spell that actually has a DC is too low? This would be a good figure even if it didn't have the Sleep spell. It has RoE, MAA, and Blur, which are some of the best spells in the game. | | Champion of Gnomes

Seriously, there are a lot of nice figures for a nature boy band here, and Ms. WoW should make for some interesting options. I had hoped that either WoW or the Wizened Elder would have some Plantmaster ability. And Fearless Dire Bears? Sounds like a nice equalizer.

30 pts for the Dragonborn Fighter makes him very cost effective. 65 hp, with a great AC and a Breathweapon...AND cleave.....
And an attack bonus that won't hit much, and damage so low that it won't matter when he does, and a speed so slow that he won't be swinging until round 3 at the earliest, and a level so low you can't count on him making any save.
I had a strong feeling the Dragonborn was going to be based off their primary example from Races of the Dragon: a female Dwarf. Then, toss on plate mail to make sure it stays slow.
Indirectly (It lost the Dwarf type when it became a Dragonborn), we did get yet another Dwarf. [:P] | | Trade & talk in real time on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis SOFTWARE: PC | PC (free) | MAC

I'm kind of curious about why you're disappointed with the Griffon Cavalry. If I'm not mistaken, he can charge for a potential 50 damage (70 against mounted minis), due to Powerful Charge +10 and Pounce. If you ask me, that's not all that bad. | | Champion of the Elf Duskblade

It's not bad. But it's certainly not worth 63 points. If it had some other damage bonus than "Jouster," it would be much better. Heck, it could still be decent if we see a lot of mounted creatures in play. But with something like "Large Target Bonus," it would be pretty solid. Take that Couatl! | | Champion of Gnomes

| | While some of the peices look pretty good, I dont think 200 pt will change nearly as much as what it did with WD. I can let that go, since it seems like Epic is going to be shook up something feirce. And I definetely think this is a good thing. I just wish more minis looked viable for 200 pt. Basically, mounted melee attack (or mounted ranged attack)is what I was wishing for. The lack of either makes it less worthwhile. Don't get me wrong, it's still interesting and potent, and I'm still dying to test this thing out.

Considering I'm not really that good I'm not a good judge, but it did not go well for not going at all.
My first attempt I did over extend him but man, AC 20...just too easy to hit. And so many points it doesn't leave much in the warband. I think he needs to be played with Rakshasa or Dark Naga for the slapping hands perhaps but that leaves you with only 1 other hitter.

These were my thoughts exactly. This seemed like the perfect, CG unique hitter. Fast, hit-and-run tactics are what I imagined.
Instead there's powerful charge, which almost guarantees the opposite.
