Holy Moses! Those stats are ungodly!
That Cadaver Collector is just...damn. 120 Fearless HP? Two attacks for 30 damage? Paralysis breath weapon?!
Heck, here's a warband right here:
Half-Orc Fighter (21 pts) Cadaver Collector (103 pts) Duergar Champion x2 (66 pts) Kobold Miner (3 pts) Goblin Skirmisher x2 (6 pts) TOTAL: 199 pts, 7 activations.

| | Sucks for whomever pulls a Slaughterstone Eviscerator in sealed, since it has "Required DWARF Commander" and this set has no dwarf commanders. If I remember sealed correctly, you can name your lowest point creature as a Commander Zero for 5 extra points, but as far as I know you can't change type to dwarf. Hopefully the epic version won't have this limitation (similar to the Iron Golem), so that it's at least partially playable in sealed. | | Champion of the Thoqqua | |

| Yeah, Tordek and the Cadavar Collector are pretty hard to argue with. Also, if the Fang Dragon is any hint about how the new dragons will be, then there is at least hope. His BAB is not great, but the fact that he costs so little is a step in the right direction.

No way, there is no "target" worded in the Counterspell SA description, so there is no need to follow the nearest rule.

Special Abilities still have to target the nearest enemy or ally.
However, I think because the way it is worded, it will not have to target the nearest enemy. It just says cancel a spell as an enemy casts it. Doesn't specify targetting the spell or the caster really. We'll just have to wait for the insert that comes with it to see how it will work.

| I'm also liking that Magma Hurler. It can be brought into CG with the Bonded Fire Summoner (how much does he cost, anyway?). If you include an Inspiring Marshal, you can use Grant Move Action to move the Magma Hurlers into postition to fire off a 30 damage ranged attack.
Oooh! Of the BFS doesn't cost too much, you could use him and the Magma Hurlers with the Nentyar Hunter! [:0]

| So far, I'm really liking the Corpse Collector and Dracolich. Spellscale Sorcerer is definitely an excellent tech piece for Epic, and maybe even 200 as well.
I'm a little disappointed with the Slaughterstone Eviscerator. +10?

I must admit to being a bit disappointed that Tordek is Independent, other than that, most look promising. I'm really digging the Magma Hurler.

Tordek looks great as well, and the Fang Dragon is no slouch either. Heck for that matter, the Ogre Skirmisher has spring attack, skirmish attack and mobility. Very interesting options for CE. Things will be changing a bit...

| Hmmm... Counterspell looks very interesting. I wonder exactly how it works. Does it use the figures activation up as an "immediate" action? Or can it still activate normally? Can it still use counterspell if it has already actiavted?

Just check the rulebook on the definition of immediate. No, it does not use up any activation. Yes, can still counterspell after activation.

| I like the dire rate as well, though he's probaby expensive enough that he might not be competitive. He'd work very well with Joint victory area's, but probably won't if he has to go land at a non joint spot. To spent 14 points on him, plus another 3-8 on a tile grabber is going to water down a LE band to much...

I don’t think he is overcosted because of that VP denial ability. That can make a huge difference in a game. You can essentially get first round tiles and deny your opponent them even if your opponent happens to be on a VP area. That ability is huge, getting tile point advantage can really force your opponent into some bad positions. In my opinion, the rat is priced fairly | | "Like a thief in the Night"

I'm not sure if the rat is priced fairly or not. I'll have to do some playtesting. It looks like he's worth it if you can land him next to a VP grabber for several turns, but how often will that happen? I think more often, he'll deny the opponent 1 round of points, and then he'll get killed, losing 14 points. | | Champion of the Rakshasa. I agree, I think that that is exactly how it'll work. The nice thing, though, is that it isn't especially easy to eliminate. A SW or Warforged Scout can't punt it in one turn. This guys is actually a great tech piece against the Titan builds so many people (myself included) have been running and winning with. Round 1 - deny tile to opponent by placing Rat on bridge of Drow Outpost adjacent to tile grabber, gaining ten points on your opponent. Round two, a significant threat has to be dispatched to deal with the rat, and you kill their initial tile grabber. Say theirs is a WF scout. If they kill the Rat and you kill the scout that turn, You've gained 18 VP, to their 14. Sounds like a good trade to me.
Math doesn't work out as well if they have a way to deal with the Rat without committing a titan. Such as if they aren't running a titan build. ;)

| I am most impressed with this tech.
LG War Weaver 33 pts Lvl: 8 Spd: 6 AC : 15 HP : 35 Melee Attk: +3(5) Type: Humanoid - Human Special Abilities Eldritch Tapestry (when casting a touch spell, this creature can affect itself and up to 3 adjacent allies instead of the spell's normal target) Spells 1st Magic Weapon [], Snake Swiffness [][] 2nd Bull strength [], Dimension Hop [] (touch; move target creature 3 squares, DC 14; allies may voluntarily fail this save)
This mini is insanely good. He can effectively SS 3 allies for 2 turns. I can see this piece almost becoming broken. In fact, LG will have a lot more competitive warbands built around this mini. | | "Like a thief in the Night"
