| Do we really need rarity slots for the huges. I can't really detect a difference in the quality of the paint jobs between huge uncommons and huge rares. For example, despite the inherent "pantsness" of the bluespawn godslayer it seems to be painted much better than say the sorcerer on the black dragon (3 shades of skin compared to none for the dragon). Instead, next time maybe they should make all huges the same rarity. You'd have the same probability of pulling any of them from a given booster. That would remove these silly pairing issues that have been cropping up AND make it easier to collect the set. I don't think making the argument that huge rares are more expensive to make than huge uncommons is a valid one. I also think that charging $10 extra MSRP/booster for the addition of a huge minis is WAY too much. Thoughts? Sam ps: "pantsness" = "crapness" | | CHAMPION OF ALL TOWNSFOLK

| | Complexity of sculpt also plays a role -- some of the uncommons are only a few pieces, while some of the rares(I'm thinking of the Dracolich) use rather a lot of pieces and are more complex in the assembly. | | Champion of the Aboleth, Prophet of Denizens. It's really hard to tell sometimes, especially if you haven't read what the base price is that WotC set out and also where you live obviously has an impact on pricing. I never read it for GoL and a booster cost about $40-$45(can't quite remember it exactly but it is in the given range). | Well, the Rare Huges allow for two things:
1) it allows for chase rares when they promised we wouldn't have chase rares. Chase rares are desirable for companies because it causes people to buy way more than they should just to get one much sought after mini. Wotc did this in a BAD way with Star Wars. Note that out of 24 huges, there has never been an uncommon Dragon.
2) It allows them to only make 12 rather than 18-24 that would require us to buy more than 12 packs. | | If you have to ask what DA is, then I never whooped your ass with it. | |
