| is the witchknife the most expensive common in the game? If so do you think this is trend-setting or something that will happen infrequently.

| I don't think so. I am selling most commons for $0.30 each... and I have the witchknife set for $0.25 each.

It's a creature from MM3 (I think) that was released as a mini in WotDQ.
As for how high it's priced, I think it works fine. I used it in a poison warband the other night (HFSx2, yuan-ti sorcerer), and its ability to stun all creatures of a certain type worked very strongly to my advantage (my friend played an all-dwarf warband, with AoM and such).
33 points is a lot for a common, but it's a strong common and definitely worth the points.
To answer your question, I don't know if it'll become a trend or not, but the occasional "expensive" common isn't so bad. | | "Clearly a case of too many hunchbacks and not enough mad scientists..."

| It's not much more than the Cultist at 29 pts.
The Large Monstrous Spider was 11 pts, the cheapest for a Rare IIRC. If we can have cheap Rares, why not expensive Commons?
I think that with smaller warbands these days, we'll be seeing slightly more expensive filler pieces as Commons, but I doubt we'll see things like the Witchknife with any frequency.

Well, considering that witchknives are universally hated, I should think not! :) | | "Clearly a case of too many hunchbacks and not enough mad scientists..."

| | It may be pricey, but in packs it may be doom for archmage bands. | | | |
