| I've been on Maxminis for a while, and, while I'm not sure anyone noticed, I haven't been posting alot lately. This is due to several factors, but they come down to one thing--moving. I'm moving to Augusta Georgia because I was accepted into their Clinical Psychology graduate program. I haven't had any money to by WoDQ, so I haven't been discussing it. However, I'm still interested, I've just been lurking alot.
Back to the focus though, Anyone live in or around Augusta? If so, any kind of minis activity to speak of? Or am I going to need to find a good route to Buford? I know the comic shops sell minis, so someone is buying them. | |

| My brick and morter is in Athens which might be a tad closer than Buford. But man thats hard core if you drive that far for boosters. I would be willing to be somewhere in Agusta there is a place to play though, its not THAT small........Andrew

Congrats on your acceptance! I'm the manager of Heroes and Dragons, a FLGS in Columbia (about an hour's drive). We've got a couple of guys pretty hardcore into minis (myself included). The store usually has all the recent sets in stock. We hold tournaments about once per month, but I and some of the others are available just about any Saturday for some games. | Welcome.
I run the D&D Minis tournament scene in the ATL for the most part. Forget Buford. The store owner cares more about comics than gaming. I have been running tournaments every two (regularly more often) weeks at The Gaming Pit in Duluth, GA. The store is located off of I-85 and Pleasant Hill which is very easy to reach. Aside from being vastly more spacious, and well airconditioned by comparison...it's where most of the DDM gaming scene gathers.

| Well that's groovy, I didn't think about SC. Phantasmal T., think you could drop me a line next time you hold a tournament? I'm not actually moving until early August, so anytime after that, I'd like to hear about. I'm going to drop you a line, and you can just e-mail me when something comes up.
And Sharn, I thought the Buford scene was your scene. Duluth, huh, not much farther a drive, but still not short. | |
