| Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has received any confirmations from Hasbro's Travel Dept. in regards to your GenCon Travel Award. They e-mailed me last week asking all the information, I replied and haven't heard anything back from them. I even e-mailed them (Cc to Reid) but nothing yet. Shouldn't we've received something on the 10th? I'm worried I won't get my reward... | | I had to email multiple times and finally called and spoke to a woman there. She explained that there was some shifting of positions and that caused some mix ups. I finally got my email today about my flight. For a first time experience, it was not a good impression. | | The Waterboy. Proud member of Team Amish.

| I'm still waiting on mine, but I do know they got my paperwork on the matter because Reid replied to my cover-letter from my fax and responded to a side inquiry I had.
I'll give it a few more days, then I'll start following up on the matter if I haven't heard by then.
However, GenCon is telling me I'll need to mail my badge back to them in order to get my WotC discount code applied. I find this curious since all the transaction info is on file and I correctly cited it when providing my post-purchase discount code - per their directions, in fact. Seeing as the "mail it back" direction wasn't included beforehand, I'm going to see why they need the badge, then if there's actually a good reason I'll send it back. Otherwise they darn well ought to be able to process the refund based on the transaction info I provided.
Yeah, I'm mildly annoyed. But hopefully it'll all work out. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

I'm having the same issue. They keep asking me to send them the voucher and I keep on telling them I only got an email then send them a copy of the email. They originally asked me to bring the voucher to GenCon and deal with it there. | I have communicated several times with Reid, and a couple times with Tom (I think it was Tom). Anyway, I get the impression that they're handling a lot of different tasks, because I get the impression that each time I send an email, they don't remember my last one.
I don't have a FAX, and so I scanned all my pages and emailed them as jpegs. Reid said that that would be fine. But, since then, I haven't ever heard anything like "thank you, we received your scans."
Fortunately for me, I'm driving anyway, and so I don't have to get nervous about this. I do, however, have to worry about whether my name shows up on the invitation (because I'm naturally paranoid). So, I'll be bringing my letters with me.
I still haven't gotten my GenCon stuff in the mail, either. I registered back when registration was first available--I know lots of other people have gotten their badges and tickets (with some mix ups, already), but I haven't gotten mine. I'll be watching the mail the rest of this week.

| I got mine in the mail the other day. Then they tell me I'll need to send it back to apply the discount, "Or you can handle it on-site." - OBJECTION! Like I'm really going to waste hours of time at GenCon in line arguing with them?
And what's even better, is they only told me I'll need to "Mail it to the Seattle office." - Where is that, exactly? I doubt the letter's going to arrive if I just write "GenCon: Seattle Office - Seattle, WA, " on the envelope and hope for the best. In my line of work, if you instruct a company or person to ship something, you explicitly provide them the address to ship to, so they don't have to guess/look it up/hope postal employee is all-knowing/etc. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725
