I was just thinking about the Icons and wondering what point values they might be. On one hand, I wouldn't think they'd make them more than 500 points, or else they wouldn't be legal in Epic play. Then again, as they are supposed to be super powerful, perhaps they aren't meant to be used in Epic play and will have their own level (Iconic level warbands?). Has anything official been said?

They will not be leagel for DCI epic play... I have a feeling that this means they will cost more than 500pt

Gargantuan Black Dragon is 500 points even. Colossal Red is guaranteed to be substantially more (probably an even 1000).

If the Red wasn't exactly 1000, that would surprise me. The icons are not for tournament play (at least the way the tournament scene is set up now). I heard also that the Black is 500 pts exactly.
