Awhile ago, I started using the phrase "Valued Trading Partners" to describe people who didn't like minis that I loved. I'm not even sure if I came up with it, it's been so long ago.

| My speculation:
We've just seen at least two, maybe three, Epics in the set. Solars have RPG stats that are way up there, and Mariliths aren't far behind. The Gith on Large Red might be one too, but that could go either way.
As for the mounted Large Red being 'a waste', I have to disagree. I love Mounted figures in all their forms; I collect them. I can either play them, just enjoy having them, etc. And if enough Skirmish viable ones come out, my Griffon Cavalry will finally have a list of useful targets to go after in 200/8 since currently GAS precludes it from being played. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

| | Now that we have a Large Red and two Githyanki, I think a mounted Gith on LRD is a *great* idea -- hopefully we'll also see a Gish or the like in the set in an uncommon or common slot. These are all strong RPG minis. Some people might waffle a bit on whether they'd use a Gith on Red Dragon, or complain that a Solar is hard to fit into most campaigns, but I think they are all strong choices.
However, we only know a few figures from the set. Yes, but there's only one where Vlaa'kith lives. That's the primary link between the Gith and Red dragons.
Also, Kyrin, see if you can track down a copy of Dungeon #100. I have my two SoBD's, one has had the sorcerer ripped at the waist and the legs dremmeled off..looks decent, but only because the plastic itself is black.
Pleasing everyone is easy if the rider is merely a seperate piece glued on...unlike the Blackguard on Nightmare which CANNOT be easily removed...

| I have high hopes for the Solar. This should be a powerhouse titan for LG... hopefully in the 120 point range for 200 point play and 300 point range for epic. They have some very strong abilities in RPG that could be translated into skirmish...
A ranged 'save or die' missile attack? Powerful spells? Dancing weapon 9which could be effectuatede by giving them the ability to cast their spells as swift actions if they attack)?
Lots of potential... it just depends upon implementation. | | Champion of Meepo _*_ Myztek on the Wizards Boards. _*_ (2206 DDM on 03/06/06) Please note: The use of the indicates an attempt at humor ... often a bad attempt. BAD EBAY SELLERS LIST (CLICK HERE): AVOID AT ALL COSTS

| | The nice thing about the Solar is that even if you won't have your PC's fight one, they make good NPC's for giving out quests and such.
