| Not necessarily. Let's see:
Harbinger - Trumpet. No trumpeteers or heralds of any sort in the set.
Dragoneye - Draconic eye. 5 dragons.
Archfiends - Fiendish rune. No runecasters in the set.
Giants of Legend - Club. Orc with club, fomorian with club.
Aberrations - Claw. Urgh. Generic. Lots of clawed things.
Deathknell - Scythe. Aspect of Nerull.
Angelfire - Angelic wings. Lots of celestials.
Underdrowdark - Spider. Several spiders.
War Drums - Crossed spears under a shield. Generic.
War of the Dragon Queen - Crown. Aspect of the Dragon Queen.
So, we can see that the set icon is symbolic more often than not, so I don't think a vrock skull (if that's what it is) necessarily means we'll be getting a vrock. | |

Harbinger means "One that indicates or foreshadows what is to come; a forerunner." The trumpet represents the theme of the set as heralding the new line.
The Archfiends icon wasn't a "Fiendish rune" it was a evil "devil's fork," and there were plenty of demons and devils in the set. | |

Too complex, espcially at small scale. A logo or icon of this type needs to be simple enough to read at very small size and is reliant on shape-recognition. Anyone can recognize a skull or a drum but a marilith is less immediate, and the selected pose of the silhouette could cause even more confusion.
Another thing to bear in mind is that these might be early mock-ups/concept designs. The icon may indeed actually be a Star Wars Scout Trooper - probably an exisiting icon from an upcoming SWM set - used as a stand-in if the Blood War icon had not been finalized when the mock-ups were made. | |
