Since WOTC is pushing more towards Epic format (Extreme or 500pt format), why aren't the top 10 or so in the DCI rankings getting invites to GENCON??? I keep checking the invites list and they are all Constructed or Limited. Just curious if there are going to be changes in the future.

There isn't currently an epic championship, maybe next year. R~

IIRC there is an Epic championship at GenCon SoCal.

When was this announced? I know there is the limited championship and that information isn't even available yet. R~

There had been "thoughts" expressed by WotC last year about an Epic Champiionship at Gen Con... that was obviously canned. It would make sense for them to do Epic at WF, but the qualifier season during Nov/Dec would be tough to attend... Pat E

I think 500 point is far to broken any more. Now that we have Tordak and Bauhmat no one will be playing any epic bands except for LG and CG. Too boring.
