| | I preordered WotDQ off of Auggie's and its not here yet. Is it just me, or should it be here by now? I am having to delay on trade deals due to this. | | | |

| | I imagine he had A LOT of orders to fill. He began shipping on the 9th iirc, so your order has been in transit barely a week. That's not all that long to wait is it? | |

| While I didn't pre-order anything (only hit his eBay store last week and the PayPal payment just cleared yesterday), I was also wondering what his usual turn-around time is like. I'm certainly not complaining or worried, just curious (actually, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it will come by this weekend for a game I've got set-up for Sunday). I know many people have praised Auggie's shop... anybody willing to chime in on what was the turn-around time like? Thanks, Rob | | Champion of Aspect of Pelor

| I've already received my first order from Auggie, but I paid fairly early on in the preordering process. If you waited to pay, that could explain the delay. I'm sure he's doing a lot of business right now, so the volume of orders could be slowing things down as well.
I wouldn't worry about it, Auggie is an extremely reliable seller. Give him some time and if you still haven't received, contact him and he'll sort things out. | | Have: Cat; Want: Storm Giant Champion of Anything Dragonlance Before trading, please check the Disputed Trades Thread

| | I just received my WotDQ pre-order (along with some older set items) from Auggie yesterday. I placed my order around July 3rd, but I don't think my payment got to him till July 7th, or maybe a little later. This was the first time I've ordered from him, and I'm very pleased. | | Have/Want List: http://www.maxminis.com/hwlist.asp?user=Chickenbeard Completed Trades: Nixlord, kritter, DNDJUNKIE, blob39, thecheesemancan, Ghendar, Salgor_7 Pending Trades: (None) | |

| Vanrulzz, Send me an email and I will be happy to check on the status for you. I just tried looking it up under this name but I guess you use a diffent name for ebay. Where you were at in que is definitly the biggest factor as to when we shipped. I can say though that as of last Friday anything that was a preorder has been shipped so anyone wondering about time frame, it should arrive this week. Mail can be a bit random though......Andrew

| Hey Auggie, remember back in the day when I ordered those Giants of Legend Huges, (like 4 of em, Red Dragon, Glabrezu, etc.) and you sent them in a manila padded envelope? Good Times.. Good Times.. [)]

One should never trade until one has their minis in hand [:D]
Auggie very rarely takes more than 2 weeks. There have been exceptions (one package in December/January took a month) but the package always arrives. Media mail is not a very quick shipping medium.
I was starting to panic over a jotoge pre-order, then I realized DQ had only been out a week. Box arrived the next day. Give it a few more days, I'm sure it'll show up. | | Knight Warlord a.k.a. Within the US, first class is the lowest rate I am aware of. It only takes 2-4 days usually for first class to arrive.
I can understand the packaging and processing to take some time, though, due to high volume of orders. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

| I normally don't place orders from new sets until after I've seen what my case (or two this time) produce. I do pay quickly but find that with the backlog and shipping time it normally takes about two weeks (or less) to get my things.
USPS first class is not the slowest shipping around. There are slower but lest costly ways to ship even within the US mail although actual delivery time varies based on the post offices involved.
Trading minis you don't have is poor practice unless you upfront with your partner that you don't yet have the mini.

Media Mail is the slowest, and what Auggie uses. It's well worth the wait for the prices, though. | | It's deja vu all over again.

| Auggie's always on the level. Now, admittedly, I've had some orders take upwards of two or three weeks (!) to show up, but that is because he uses Media Mail. Usually I get them in about 10-11 days after I order.
On the other hand, my WotDQ pre-orders got here real fast. Then again, I also got my payment in really quickly, but...yeah.
Basically, Auggie's service is slow. Not glacial, but slow. On the other hand, given he charges dang near nothing for just about every non-Rare in the game, I can't complain. He's my main source and I just deal with the slowness. | | - Irrationally Fanatical Champion of Pegasus-mounted cavalry - Proud member of Team Low Tier Beasting: I play CG as my main faction! - Garland, TX 2006 Qualifier Champion My trading thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19725

| Back in the days before I had a mortgage, I used to order many wonderful dvds from various places.
In a couple instances, I had items that shipped a week or more after a particular order show up before that order. Media Mail is, to say the least, screwy.
But I've never had an issue with Auggie, but my stuff just got here the other day. [:)] | | Champion of the Werewolf Lord, Knight of Anything Duergar, and Squire of Things Gnollish List reset with the start of previews for each new set...got Chainmail®?

| | I've never experienced slow shipping from Auggie. I think the longest was 4 days. I got my preorder on the 13th, but it was a small order. 5 small blacks and some older stuff. | Auggie is doing such an incredible amount of singles sales, I have no idea how he handles it! My first order from him accidentally shipped to the next person in line on his print ticket. HE NOTICED the mix-up before I did and sent me the stuff priority that day even though it meant a loss for him on the minis (that part is obvious though) and the shipping.
I'd echo a few posters above and say that it's dangerous to trade minis you don't actually have. I won't get moral on you about it, but I can read between the lines as well as anyone, and I'll just say I don't like it. Probably your trading partners aren't going to go somewhere else and cancel your trades over a little delay--why not just buy the figures you want then if you're buying figures just to trade them for other figures?
