| Well, I had to cancel my GO order on the 26th because they hadn't shipped and I placed my oder on 7/1!! I did corespond with them many times to see what the problem was and was never satisfied with the answers. When I read that someone here placed their order on 7/7 and had already received it, that was the last straw.
Anyway I found another site to preorder from www.battleworks.com and only paid $1.67 more per case. I placed the order on Wednesday and they arrived today (while I was at Fenway Park! Wife's a Red Sox fan and I'm a Yankee fan, but that's another story...) This guy shipped from Baton Rouge, LA and I live in MA, so it came pretty quick.
I'm off to open them, will post Rares and Stire counts when I'm done... | |

And on the 9 cases. Me and another guy from my gaming group go in on the cases together. Mostly use them for DnD. We each bought 4 cases and we dump them all together, split them evenly then do a draft for the odds. I bought an extra case this time because I was able to collect a good amount from the rest of my players. I have made the biggest investment for the minis, but I hold a Fundraiser 2x a year with the rest of the players to help out. Usually the wife and I cook a good meal instead of ordering out that night and ask for min $20 from each person. I have 7 regular players and was able to raise over $200 this time around.
Usually buy 2-3 cases of regular set, so I thought I might need more than 4 cases of HUGE set.
My basement is pretty big, so I have plenty of room for minis, terrain and other gaming aids...[:D] | |

"Mama Cass" has got a pretty good setup in the cellar for gaming, although it's getting to be time to build some more shelves. He's running out of space. Sadly, I've already run out of space (I cart my collection around between two locations) and have to decide which minis stay home and warm the bench for for future games.
Splitting cases is definitely the way to go if you've got someone to do it with. We'd be buying a lot of single rares and uncommons doing it any other way.
