| Funny, I've seen this thread title a few times today and I keep reading "bring a silver dragon".
Oddly enough, 3 years ago this gencon; some people did a horrible park job and I couldn't get out of the car very easily (they pulled in immediately after I did), and they had tons of these tackle-boxes with them. How eccentric, right? This being my first GenCon, and probably 4th month playing anything since a few D&D sessions as a kid, I had never even heard of DDM, let alone seen them.
Anyway, after several hours of waiting in line for my 1 day badge to print. . . . . . . . I finally wandered through the minis hall---to see those same bad parkers playing with these little figures. Hey, one was a silver dragon! (getting flanked by like 10 other figures) I bought a few singles down at the exhibit hall, and that's how it began (my only other game purchase till that point was Oriental Adventures).
So, now I have my own LSD, and I might just take him to GenCon with me in memory (or to kill the acronym vampires who think it's a silver 'dagger'). | | *WoTC Delegate (Chicago)* :=: My Trade Thread :=: DISPUTED TRADE WITH TREE DRUID!!!!!!!! | |

Funny enough so did I. [:D]
Maybe because it just make more sense on the forum then a dagger.
As for the convention, I suggest bringing your own oxygen tank, the only way to garauntee freedom from B.O.!
