| | I've checked out the pieces and although they are high quality, I'm not really interested in the sculpts. The expense it would incur is another matter altogether. | The only way I could see getting sucked into this is if its the only game really being played at the game shop where I'm moving. As it stands, I've actually had to dust off magic cards, 'cause the bastards don't really play minis.
Dreamblade, on the whole, seems rather unappealing to me. | | **Note: Unless otherwise stated all my minis are unbagged** My reference thread is at: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12765 Graduate school is swollowing my soul!!!! Champion of the Raumathari Battlemage!

| No thanks! Who needs it?
AND - i hope those figures in the DB gallery are paint-masters, otherwise i'll be pissed! Don't often see DDM minis painted that well! | | "What is to give light must endure burning" -Viktor Frankl

| | I've got a case pre-ordered and have signed up for the local release tournament. While watching the game be played makes it look terrible, the gameplay is actually incredibly deep and addictive. | | | |

| I really like the game, so I'll be getting three cases, some of that financed by store credit I have from other activities. A key factor spurring me to give this a solid effort is the timing: after Nationals, there is not much happening in DDM (you can't pratcice much for the sealed qualifier, so I don't count that) for 6 months or so, so there is plenty of time to investigate Dreamblade. It helps that we have a 1K locally in October, which gives a worthy goal to shoot for.
Regarding the issue of how many useful figures there are in the base set, there are two reasons why this is not a problem for me. First, my wife and my son like the game, so I will get some casual use there. Second, the way Dreamblade handles DCI ratings (you can never go down, only up), means I have greater freedom to play "fun" bands in local DB tournaments than I do DDM. I think I will get more use out of my non tier 1 DB units than I do out of similar DDM units.
That's the plan at least. If I'm terrible at DB relative to the local competition, I reserve the right to change my mind [:)].

| | It's not dual use. I won't buy. DDM is awesome because I love the minis game and I love the minis for RPG. I didn't even know Dreamblade used different sized bases. That clinches it. I can't even afford my DDM addiction, really, anyway, so I won't seriously contemplate another CMG. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| | I will not be buying any Dreamblade. One is financial restrictions - I would have liked to get into AAM, but have avoided it to keep my spending reasonable. I also like the fact that DDM serves a dual purpose for both skirmish and RPG. Dreamblade will not do this as well for me. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| | I've got no interest whatsoever in the game, but a couple of the minis (the Fleshless Reaper, the various Ogres, some of the amorphous tentacled abominations) look passably useful for D&D critters, and base size doesn't worry me that much. I won't be buying any, but I'll keep an eye out for any decent-value trades I can get, and if/when the line goes bust (sooner rather than later, judging by the comments on this thread) I might pick a few boosters up from the bargain bin... | | My Have/Want list: http://www.maxminis.com/hw_list.asp?user=Humble%20Minion Trade reference thread: http://www.maxminis.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12743 | |

| Most likely NOT. I will check it out at Gen COn (haven't even looked at it yet, really except for the sculp picture, not stats.)
It will have to REALLY win me over, though.

| | Gah! With all the gaming activities I'm involved in I certainly don't have the income to support another collectable minis game. I'm going to have enough trouble fighting off the urge to get into AvP Horrorclix without adding Dreamblade into the mix! | | | |

| | I plan to wait and see if others who plan to rebase some for use in D&D find that they are easy to remove from their bases, in which case I'll buy a few for that purpose and rebase them. | | | |
