Okay, now this is jsut getting ridiculous. Merric is on the other side of the planet, he is as far away as it is possible to get before you start coming back again, and he got his before me? I ordered the damned thing 70 days ago! That's 10 damned weeks! Almost 1/5 of a year! Is it being shipped by Pony Express or something? Did they chuck it out the door and assume continental drift would eventually get it to me?

The Promo is better, not by much (dragon changes mostly) but better.
Yeah, they are/were quite slow in their deliveries, but it is being handled in a first come first served basis (they claim) [eyes] | | Trades >> Completed: 49 | Bad: Ø | Pending: 0 | Trade & talk Live on IRC! SERVER: irc.psionics.net CHANNEL: #maxminis

| Its nice to see the gamers in Australia finally getting theirs. It sucks having to wait that long for you all, but not much you can do about it.
I much prefer the one that is the promo. I think the dragon looks so much nicer with the extra paint, but I can definetely foresee me trading my promo off around Blood War season, even if it has a better paint job. | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka

That is total BS. I ordered mine at 1:32pm on June 1st. There are people who made their orders many weeks after me who recieved theres many weeks ago.
Lots of orders to process I can understand, but they should be processed in first-in/first-out order. I don't know how many orders were placed before mine but there should have been precisely that many orders filled before mine. I waited 8 damned weeks for them to ship it, and now it has taken two weeks (and counting) for it to arrive. This is unacceptably slow IMO.
I was going to order a D&D boardgame from them but now there is no way in hell I'll bother doing that. I'd rather wait until someone I know is going to the UK and get them to bring me one back. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Nemesis of Gnomes and Dinosaurs.

| | heh I still think we should be able to get a second SoBD promo if we have a subscription to Dragon *and* Dungeon. It only makes sense. It'd be nice if they opened it up to us to be able to do that =) | | Champion of a Knight of Takhisis/Knight of Neraka | |

| | I'm actually tempted to subscribe to Dragon and order one of the remaining promos while I'm at it. I just got my hands on a copy of the old issue with the Drow Outpost map, and I was pleasantly surprised by the contents of the magazine. I got it just for the map, but there's a lot in there that could be useful for my RPG. But I'm still not sure it's worth the price of the subscription (and the clutter of having a bunch of magazines on my book shelf). | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| Sulaco, I ordered mine on the 1st of June as well. Have you even got a "It's shipped" notification yet? (Mine shipped 26th July, which means it took a fortnight to get to me).

Yep. Mine shipped on July 25th. I know that Canada Post sucks but there is no way in the nine hells it should take longer to send a package to the largest city in a nation that actually shares a 3,145 mile border with the USA than it takes to send one three times that far to a country on the other side of the planet. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. Yup. When they say it will take longer to reach Canada you assume it is a shipping issue, not that they just don't give a damn. Like I said before, this has certainly made me shy away from ordering anything else from Paizo. I might go in for any future minis promo offeres - I am an addict after all - but I'll not be ordering the D&D Board Game (or anything else) from the as I had planned.
On the upside, the SoB arrived yesterday (and I do mean SoB in every sense of the acronym). I had a feeling it would as I posted my displeasure about it in this thread yesterday. This is nearly always the case. If I make a trade and it doesn't come for weeks on end it will invariably arrive the day I finally send a message to my trade partner asking where it is. | | Champion of the Gelatinous Cube. I did a little test just like this. I ordered a 2nd one on July 20th, by creating a 2nd account with a different CC and email address and a sub to dungeon.
I got the 2nd ordered dragon first last week, and finally today recieved the one I ordered on June 1st, around 1:30.

You would think. But the fact that you are connected by land may work against you- they could of sent it ground, which can take a long time.
But heck, you never know with shipping.
Amazon notified me on 8/7 that they shipped my GBD via UPS Ground (Yes, UPS offers ground to Hawaii- They must roll up the windows or something) with an expected delivery date of 8/19. I found it outside my door (no knock or bell ring) the morning of 8/10 making me think they delivered it 8/9.

Kind of like waiting for the waiter to bring the check, just start to leave and he pops up in an instant...
As for the SLOW Canada shipping, I know I have had trades that took weeks to arrive there, while shipments to AUS or Europe arrived in less than a week. I guess the border guys/customs types probably let everything sit for a while to make sure it is not acting up or doing something verboten. | Mine arrived on Thursday, after I ordered it around the 20th of June.
It had been shipped on the 26th of July according to postage, so not too bad for time with the slow shipment method.
