| Okay heres the deal, arcabious and I have a bunch of extra bluespawn thunderlizard promos we are giving away(about 10). We are having a contest, create the best and funniest 'motivational' poster DnD and/or minis related. Anyone who wants to can enter.(please no Gencon attendees) Please only enter once. The contest runs from now, sunday, till thursday at 6pm central. We will pick the 10 we like best and mail you a bluespawn thunderlizard gencon promo on friday.(might be a few more winners if we snag some more on the con floor today). If you choose to do poster that has a rating higher than PG13 post a link instead and warn viewers in your post, but we're both adults so such entries will be excepted. The motivational poster generator is at http://flagrantdisregard.com/flickr/motivator.php and is pretty easy to use, I made one in about 2 minutes and i'm not the most computer literate person in the world to say the least. If you have a better program or way to do a poster go for it you don't have to use the generator. You can thank kunimatyu for the contest idea and stephengroy for the poster that clinched it. When you click on the "insert image from gallery" link in the Rich Text editor there's an option to upload images to the gallery. No idea whether or not that feature works or not.
Also, in order to insert images directly into the text, the easiest method is to switch over to basict text editing and use:
img scr="http://www.link.com"
Place < and > around the entire thing. | |

| Here is my hastily cobbled together entry. I can't seem to get image
links to work, I can't find an insert image option anywhere, the create
link option doesn't work, the new boards software keeps crashing,
giving major
errors, and locking up but maybe it might actually work this time.
Twelfth time's the charm...
edit: So the key is to scrap the HTML edito and use the basic Design
editor. Why isn't there a simple Insert Image option? This new boards
softwares sucks. :(

| Like Sulaco I use photobucket for image hosting.
But nowadays you have to use the tag option for posting instead of the IMG function to get it to work here.

You are linking to the site, you need to save the poster to your computer then upload it to an image hosting service like image shack or photobucket then use that link to post here. The motivational poster site doesn't host the posters they specifiaclly tell you not to link to there site. I believe the poster you create vanishes once you leave the site. | | | |

Zenthrus' Picture Primer (or how to post a picture using [censored] html, rather than BBCode...
1) Make sure your picture is hosted. You typically must have your own domain/web space, or use a free hosting site such as photobucket. Worst case scenario you can always ask me nicely to host your images on my server.
2) Switch from Rich Text Editor to Basic Text Box.
3) type in the following:
img scr="http://www.yourlinkhere.com"
4) Place < before img and > after the closing parenthesis.

Okay I seem to have figured it out, thanks zenthrus, so if anyone just can't figure it out and is plain and simple tired of trying email me the pic and I'll post it on my brand spanking new photo bucket account and send you the link or just post it myself if you prefer(pad my post count [:)].
It s actually easier than the 4 step zen gave us if you use photo bucket you just copy and paste the TAG (middle) link nothing else needs to be done. | | | |

| Firefox I have to right click the broken link and choose view picture but I can see it. When you posted it did you click the HTML tag at the bootom and make sure it was in this format?
