Subject: Amazon Payment: How Long To Wait Before Worrying?

I am a Canadian who sent a money order to purchase some things from Amazon.com instead of Amazon.ca due to the fact the availablility of some of the things I ordered was completely lacking in .ca and therefore was only available to order through .com. I sent the money order over two weeks ago, on the 8th to be precise, and have yet to receive an email stating that they got the payment and there is no indicator of payment when I log in. Also, I had the order number and my email address on the back of the money order (as that is done with checks so I assume it also applied to money orders as well) so there shouldn't be a problem but I've never worked with Amazon before so I'm incapable of basing any assumptions on previous experiences. The help section says to wait 4 weeks before alerting them and providing them with a pile of more information (which I'm sure I am capable of giving to them for the most part, some aspects I might not be able to but I think I could give enough to meet an assumed minumum requirement, if any) but I'm pretty sure that is for American customers so in my case they would probably want me to wait longer but I wanted to see if there has been anyone else in my situation and could help me straighten it out more quickly or at least reassure me it is normal to wait so long. Thank you in advance for your time.

I've done a lot of tradingwith Canadians, and I've had trades that took 3-4 weeks to get here from there. So from that aspect, it may not be an Amazon thing, it might very well be a Post issue, and not a terribly unusual one. Despite really wanting your order, I wouldn't worry about it yet.
