| Ok, we're getting slow ppl... over at wotc site.

-- it says --
Just got my issue of Dragon with pix of 3 upcomming minis. Soldier of Bytopia - It looks like a 1/2ling or gnome sized humanoid with a breastplate and a pick. Was Bytopia one of of the renmaed outer planes? That's the only thing I can think of for the reference. Looks like a good fighter type mini for smaller PCs. Storm Silverhand - Very nice. Female fighter in full plate sans brain bucket. carrying a long sword and staff. Very nice for female fighters. Succubus - Bikini bottom; no top. With arms over breasts. Brown hair in what I think is a beehive haircut, large bat wings and a tail. I think an improvement over the marilith. | Sure it is renamed, it used to be called the Twin Paradises!
EDIT: Also there's nothing between Arcadia and Celestia (Seven Heavens.) Bytopia/Twin Paradises is between Celestia and Elysium. | | Anson on WotC boards

| Sweet, I am looking forward to seeing the pictures of these minis.
Pretty sure you are correct about Bytopia, I think it's the one where
there are 2 parts of the plane, one above the other, each facing the
other. So look up from one and beyond the clouds you see the
other looking back "up" at you.

| Wow, this is going to be a great set for Planescape fans. A mention of Bytopia, who would have ever thought! Now I HAVE to be right about there being an Aspect of Bel. How can the General of the Bloodwar not be in the set when the set is called Blood Wars and it's so planar specific.

Bytopia was one of those names introduced in the Great 2nd Edition Religious Purge, along with Celestia, Baator, etc.
If you check your old 1e PH, the original incarnation of the great wheel cosmology doesn't have any of those more complicated names - just Seven Heavens, Twin Paradises, Happy Hunting Grounds, etc. Didn't even have Concordant Opposition as the true neutral plane yet (eventually renamed Outlands), I think that wasn't introduced until the 1e Manual of the Planes. | | Anson on WotC boards

But Bel is a Pit Fiend...a very strong Pit Fiend granted...But still a Pit Fiend.
So if we got an Aspect of Bel in Bloodwar we would have an Unarmed Pit Fiend and a Pit Fiend weilding a sword in the same set....Not likely.

Yeah but the Pit Fiend they showed us looks a little silly & goofy. The detail & painting is great, but the sculpt & pose just don't look menacing like the Balor mini. So maybe they did that on purpose because they made a Bel miniature that looks scary and gave him a Pit Fiend minion that doesn't look as macho as the Bel Pit Fiend. I can hope, right?

| Very cool news.
Soldier of Bytopia - Sounds nice, maybe its the other Gnome in the set.
Storm Silverhand - Very interesting! Her appearance in the set comes as a pleasant suprise to me. She's very likely to be one of the epics in the set.
Succubus - A classic monster, no complaints here, but this was a pretty predictable inclusion in the set.
