| got the latest scrye today-no I don't have a scanner-but in it they have pictures of the following:
Skeletal Reaper (old news) Phoenar (looks medium-all clear plastic phoenix) Gnoll Barbarian (nice) and.......drumroll....Arcadian Hippogriff! (this last one looks great, and simple enough to be used easily as a run of the mill hippogriff)

| What book is a Phoenar From? Is it the bird form of the Pholarch?
Nothing is sitting on the hippogriff's back is there? What makes it look any different? If its from Arcadia that would make it Celestial. Does it have silver or gold feathers or something?
Thanks for the news...Hopefully someone gets the mag who has a scanner

| Ooh! Ooh! Pictures please!
Very cool news. More and more does this set seem to be shaping up a great one (though if the Phoenar is medium, I wonder why we simply couldn't have gotten a large Phoenix). | | Champion of the Nalfeshnee! Future Champion of the Atropal Pazuzu, Pazuzu, Pazuzu!

Something that is similar (points and power wise) to the Orc Champion which is hard and $$ to get. WoTC have said they won't do straight reprints, ie make another of the same mini, but instead make something that is similar. The old example is instead of an Orc Champion, they might make a Gnoll Champion. So i`m hoping the Gnoll Barbarian is going to fit that spot. | | "Mutton yesterday, mutton today, and blimey, if it don't look like mutton again tomorrer." | i kinda like my orc champs being vaulable. id never sell them as they are my favorite piece of all time, and tons of fun to play ( for me atleast! ) but i did pay a lot for them, and i certainly wouldnt care to see something made similar as to decrease its value. also i think with the blood ghost berserker recently out, another CE hitter at the 40ish cost would be way over kill.  im thinking that the gnoll will be more costly. | | Champion of Manshoon of the Zhentarim addict of orcs, ogres, and anything that smashes

| Arcadia is an LG plane, so I would guess:
Arcadian Hippogriff - LG Phoera (assuming misprint) - CG Gnoll Barbarian - CE Skeletal Reaper - CE (known)
When pics are up, I'll add these into the 'scry' thread.

| Hmmm ...
These sound interesting.
I would have preferred that there be a Phoenix before a Phoera, but I suppose that one can be substituted for the other when it comes to RPG.
I too join the chorus asking for scans.
Cheers

| The Hippogriff is great news! Fantastic creature!
The Gnoll Barbarian is also extremely welcome.
The Reaper we knew about - can't get that excited about another skeleton proxy so soon, but its OK.
The "phoenar" might be interesting, if this mini is the bird form of the Phoelarch (i.e. the Phoera) - not because it is an alternate form of an obscure creature, but because it is a proxy for Medium-sized birds.
A proxy for Tiny, Small or Large birds would have been even more useful - but a medium-sized bird proxy is also good.
(Note: If it is the Phoera, it won't do as a proxy for a Phoenix, as the Phoenix is Large.) | | Champion of the Bodak.Knight of the Aboleth.Squire of Gnomes. Friend of (Non-Ugly) Fey.
