| Hi all! Have you had the feeling that some minis are just too big or too small (and this is weird, bacause in other WotC products like SW minis scales seem to be OK) and dont make justice to the scale? I do, and for my part I would love to see resculps (with different names, who cares) of some out of scale minis. In this thread I just want to ask you which minis do you think that are out of scale and which of them you would like to see a resculpt made with more propper propportions.
For my part I have a big list, but dont remember all :p. To my mind come:
Vrock, Ogre skirmisher, hunting hyena, the new fire giant (but dont care for more male FG), human commoner, ....
PS. I know that some people (probably pure Skirmish players) maybe dont care much for this and I want to say that the purpose of the thread is just to mention the minis you think out of scale (if you think some mini is), not to make a big debate of weather it is out of scale or just a big member of the race. Thank you

| The CRD. 8 by 8 base? What's up with that? Stability issues? Pshaw.
For the record, yes, I'm kidding.

| | i think some figures are definately oversized, mostly newer ones. hopefully they will stick to the current larger scales for the figs, maybe that will somehow justify raising prices, and soon you wont even notice the larger scales because many of the smaller, older figs are barely used any more. | | Champion of Manshoon of the Zhentarim addict of orcs, ogres, and anything that smashes | |

| Well, I don't think we'll see resculpts of any of the oddly-sized pieces, and in general I think that they do a good job. The Adventuring Wizard and Human Commoner seem a bit big, a few others seem a little off too. But, generally, it's all good.

I hope not, because older figs means 10+ expansion sets and lots of $$$$!

| Yes some minis are definitely wrong-sized : - WD Hill giant barbarian compared to Archfiends one. - Rats (both); I know they are "dire", but still far too big IMO. - Most animals (hyaena, but cougar and Guenhywar too...) - mounted paladin horse too large. - Dragoneye LRD too small. - halflings of the same size than gnomes (we'll see for the gnomes in BW) And probably others I can't think of at the moment. Oh, and i quite don't get the difference in size between the Deathknell forest troll and the WodQ mountain troll... The troll slasher is the right size IMO. | | Vindicated Champion of the PSEUDODRAGON (Unhappy) vindicated champion of the DRYAD Against the giants called shot : huge cloud giant female Demonweb called shot : ghost | |

Forest Trolls are medium-sized. Mountain Trolls are huge. Most other trolls are large. Troll Slasher is the right size for a "normal" troll, but completely wrong for Mountain or Forest trolls.

| | I remember thinking all the minis were too big compared to those that came out in Harbringer. I haven't looked recently at side by side comparissons, and nothing struck me as odd (not to say there isn't something to the size issue) | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow

| | I noticed that too. Harbinger minis look a little small compared to their later brethren. For sure, the new, large bases will help with some of the large creature issues. Not so, in the case of the Griffon Cavalry. | | Over 270 successful online DDM trades. | |

| A Varguille is supposed to be the size of a human head...What makes it a Small Creature is the wingspan. Meanwhile the mini has a HUGE head.
Take the Goliath Cleric and the Goliath Barbarian and put them side by side...Its rediculus that they are supposed to be the same race. | | Champion of the Skulk Vindicated Champion of the Twig Blight

| Don't forget the new fire giant. It looks as if his head alone matches the size of an old GoLÂ fire giant.
I'm more annoyed about the newer oversized minis than the old undersized ones - just because so many new ones overhang their base by lunatic amounts. | | Champion of the Bodak.Knight of the Aboleth.Squire of Gnomes. | | With the Tiny cratures, making them slightly larger may be an artistic or production decission. At the real proportions it may be too small to paint, sculpt, or not as asthetically pleasing. | | Completed trades: blackthorne, Drakkengi,Thorgrin, Ironfist Boulderbender x2, ckissee, nasamonkey, Username, Star, Ace13 x3, emontedodger x2, Drconveyor, church, Joeyb, Sir Bozak The Damned, Xeromod, the other guy x2, Qucalion of Celene, Dagaron x2, berus316, qillan_dvra, AshloreDarkShadow
