| Eh, I'm not impressed. I would rather it have the impractical, silly-looking weapon it has in the illustration than that overly short, even more impractical two-bladed sword. How lame.

| He could pull off a big, well armored fighter as a representation, but I don't think I like how the mini looks or would feel in a setting.
I hope he has good skirmish stats. It might be a redeaming factor. | Now this gusy looks cool. Im glad the pose isnt all dynamic and ruined it. Very cool looking...Me like. I am not a fan of the two bladed sword for him I would have much prefered a greatsword (or the bladed gauntlet :p ). | Love reading those posts from people who aren't fans of Eberron or the great and mighty Lord of Blades. There are plenty of us Eberron lovers who will take the sculpt off your hands. The sculpt looked a bit lean to me, too athletic, for a creature who is really a tank. His classes, from memory, were Fighter2/Artificer5/Warforged Juggernaut5. I'd have expected a much bulkier figure. That aside, I'm happy, he has finally made an appearance. Of course in my campaign, he's chalked up a few more levels, as time has passed in the game world. He isn't going to be a pushover for a party of five L15 PC's hehehe. | | I have always been here.

Difference between common and rare would be my guess.
Posted By Nixlord on 10/10/2006 10:21 AM Unlike before, I'll hold off any opinions until I have it in hand.
But as someone not running an Eberron campaign, it looks promising as an archvillain or archvillain's bodyguard/lackey.
I agree. Tanked up bodyguard will be just fine for it.

Double-bladed/headed weapons aren't completely unrealistic as a concept. There are a number of martial arts weapons that would qualify as double weapons in D&D terms.
Dire flails, though, those are stupid. | | Anson on WotC boards

| | I know there are double ended weapons, the man catcher, three piece rod and others are effective and realistic, but the double ended axes and swords just take things too far. Well, in the case of the double sword, it isn't so much the concept that's silly as it is the artwork. If you put shorter sword blades on the ends of a staff instead of what the Lord of Blades there is waving around, you still have a "double sword" but a much more realistically usable one. | | Anson on WotC boards | |

| Hi all! Lord of Blades looks pretty good, not too exciting but solid. As far as double-swords go, they aren't that bad, funny how people seem to really, really hate them. Especially since I think we will have a total of 3 double weapon wielders out of 690+ minis, and it's a core 3.5 weapon.
so far we have:
Eye of Gruumsh Sword of Glory Lord of Blades
are their any others I'm forgetting?

| He's a cool mini, but the pose is kind of meh - he's just standing there with a double sword - I would think that they could have had him in somewhat of a more animated pose.
