| Used to, from time to time, some users would post pics of their mass battles. Well, here is a request for those users to repost their pics, and an invitation for other users to post new scenarios, in order to have them all in one, easy to find location.
Here is my latest setup, involving a CRD.

| If anyone has problems posting pics (I used an image hosting service (photobucket) with the code below), I found this explanation in the Forums Discussion, courtesy of zenthrus:
"Easiest method of posting a pic is directly from your hard drive. Underneath the "Body" section when entering text, there is a section called "Message Attachments." Simply click "Browse," navigate through your computer to the correct picture file, then click "Open." When you click "Submit" to post the message, the picture will be loaded into the body of the message.
Alternate method: click on HTML at the bottom of the "Body" section (next to Design). Type in:
img src="http://www.yourlinkhere.com">/img
Just change yourlinkhere.com to whatever the link to the hosted image is. Also, add a < to the left of img and surround /img with < and >

| You can also upload the pics directly from your hard drive using the
"Message Attachments" feature (saves the hassle of uploading to a
third-party website).
Impressive-looking battle. I'd love to take some pics like that,
however, I shudder every time I think about moving/rearranging the
minis.....

| Here are some pics of a Hobgoblin warparty attacking a small outpost, that I took a while back. Can you guess who won?
This assault on a small outpost follows a large battle that took place a few miles from the fort. It was fought by a Hobgoblin force of unknown number, 100 mounted troops, and a handful of Paladins provided by the local baron. Through poor planning and hubris on the part of the fort's commander, and the scheming of an evil sorcerer, the Hobgoblins decimated the human troops, and marched onward for the final assault on the fort. It is being defended by what remains of the baron's troops, and the meager forces of the outpost.

| Im curious what rules do you use for mass battles? are there any I can download?
I have a good sized collection, and would prefer "proper" large scale fantasy army battles instead of 5 on 5 skirmisher battles...
and yes, cavalry are very needed, and not as rares! | |

| Thanks AnarionZelle! I appreciate the kind words. I made the castle for my kids who love having mass battles and I was getting tired of using lego. If I get some time I will upload it to one of my websites so others can print it off. (The only problem is that right now it's been sectioned into about 30 pieces for ease of printing . . . ).

We used the D&D mass battle system from the Miniatures Handbook. It is working fine. It is comparable with the GW Warhammer fantasy system.
For the first time you could estimate something like 4-5 hours for 5 turns.
You could also check the Conan mass battle system which is d20 and free to download.

I'm going to upload it some time this week. Why don't you wait till then? Because if you enlarge it from that image quality will be terrible. The version that I eventually upload will be nicely chopped up into 6X9 1 square inch squares for easy printing and the quality will be far superior. . . I'll post here when I finally get around to uploading.

| That's the kind of adventure I've always wanted to have. It'd be cool to be a high level wizard and see which runs out first: the horde or your spells. And with this nice map, it'd be an excellent scenario.
