RARES
- fire giant : 70 g
- pit fiend : 45 g
- gith/red drag : 30 g
- owlbear : 34 g
UNCOMMONS
- kermit the slaad : 30 g
- maug : 54 g
- water elemental : 37 g
We wee that the fire giant is the heaviest by far. The problem is that you may find in a booster a combination R+U that quite matches the weight of the fire giant : i.e. pit fiend + kermit, etc (however seeing your avatar I think that another pit fiend will not be a problem for you . Depends of your tastes, but these 3 uncos and 4 rares are quite cool).
But if you find a VERY heavy booster, you're almost assured to have your fire giant, as it can only be fire giant + maug (which is a very cool booster IMO). So go for the heaviest possible booster !!!

But no-one has ever pulled 2 completely compatible cases, now have they?
On average you pull in most instances 6 new rares from your 2nd case, 3 new rares from a 3rd case, etc.
sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less. I never heard of anyone completing a set with 2 cases only though.

This assumes one doesn't want large uncommons. For me the strength of a set lies in the uncommons, particularly the large uncommons, not the rares. | |

Somehow both. I'll keep most of the rares, except the githyanki. I'll probably keep only one Fire Giant as well as all the Mezzoloth, Green Slaad, the Hammerers and the Greespawn Sneaks. The rest I will either try to sale or trade. Not interested in Thundertusk Cavalry or Air Genasi Swashbuckler or Valenar Nomad Charger apart from some others.

Those cases were all the cases that our glorious national distributer has ordered, claiming they've got projections showing nothing more would sell. I hope Hasbro will revoke their exclusive distribution rights, as this is insane. We can't even hold OOB as our shop cannot get the boosters necessary. | |
