Unhallowed is a very evil sounding set, maybe WoTC is just playing the part. If they showed us all the primo stuff up front, what would there be to anticipate the closer we got to the release? And if you're the kind of collector who likes to pre-order, it's nice to get a balanced picture of the set early enough to make a good decision about how many cases to buy. | | "Before God we are all equally wise - and equally foolish." - Albert Einstein Champion of Myopic Half-Orcs Winner, WBC X | |

| Diggin' the crossbow guy. I have been wanting a human with a crossbow in light armor. Looking forward to seeing the stats.
The shorty is acceptable and the lady has a terrible color scheme, but otherwise is okay. I think any I get will be getting repainted. Maybe the stats for these two will be more interesting than the appearance of the minis.

I like em all, especially the details on the crossbowguy!

| Lord, I hope these are not common. I have more than enough Soldiers of Bytopia and Doomguards already. I don't need a dozen (or even half a dozen) Mini-mes, Elviras, and Van Helsings. They look very nice -- don't get me wrong -- but they also look like very nice uncommons and HORRIBLE commons. Too many commons like this, and Unhallowed will be a case set for me, and maybe even half a case...

| I always enjoy PC worthy minis, which traditionally have fallen into the Uncommon slot, and hunt these down in multiples, and these are no exception. Not sure on the rarity of these, though, given last week's hint?
The halfling could sub as a gnome. Dual axe-wielding is interesting. His outfit kinda reminds me of an Indian Jones adventurer style.
The woman's pallour certainly makes her look undeadish, as does her hint "come up and see me some time" very seductive. Very elf warmage outfit (full length open robe), but that's one of the things I really enjoyed about the elf warmage sculpt. OTOH, the red hair, golden outfit, might almost suggest some "radiant protector" or "servant of the light" kind of PRC? Nice casual non-combat pose, could sub for an NPC host at some social event.
I REALLY like the Strider dude! His hint "The only way to kill them is to kill you" suggests he could play for either side! Goes without saying - an Undead Hunter or Werewolf Hunter.
Overall, quite happy with these as choices for PC figures.

| Looks like an Undead Halfling, a Female Vampire, and a Undead Hunter.Â
Reminds me of a joke: an Undead Halfling, a Female Vampire, and a Undead Hunter went into a bar...
Meh Preview this week. But we have to see some of the duds along the way anyway. I knda like the last one though. Very cool looking.Â
And what do we make of Shoe's text:
"And no matter how much we apologize, we know that we will never be forgiven. Our transgression, unpardonable; our misery, abject. We can offer only this poor proxy for substance. Oh, pity us in our wretchedness!"
Any thoughts?Â

I was kind of thinking of what kind of Undead will "never be forgiven".Â
I think "Our" means Undead. After all the set is about Undead.Â
Undead make a lot of "transgressions" tha are "unpardonable" (ie drinkin of blood, killing the living).Â
Many Undead are in "misery", suffering eternally for their transgressions.Â
"Pity us in our wretchedness" is something I would envision a Vampire begging the hunter who is about to kill her.Â
Or maybe there is'nt anything to the text at all.Â

I think you are on to something, Sirohk. I don't think they are going to up date it because this IS the full preview. One of the minis is listed as starting with the word Hunter and the only PrC in WOTC compiled list with Hunter at the Start of its name is Hunter of the Dead.

Faragdar got it right. There is no way that "Cleric" is going to be the only word printed on the top of her card. WoTC release only what WoTC wants to release. if they put Undead Cleric or Vampire Cleric on top of the card it would make it way too much infomation. Let people speculate on what else will be on the card no one ever contridicted that she was a cleric, only what kind of cleric.

| I'm not really getting al these complaints about the Free League Ranger all of a sudden. Never heard of any faults with the mini before this week. I can't remember anything wrong with it either except that the red beard and hair seems a bit too character-specific for a common mini. Would've made a great uncommon figure IMHO. I still would like another normal common human with a longbow like the Dalelands Militia figure from Archfiends.

| That female is a Cleric of PELOR:
Read the description of a cleric of PELOR:
Priests of Pelor favor yellow garb of varying shades, though many accentuate their yellow garb with accessories of gold, orange, white, and red. For official services, priests dress in yellow robes, those of 7th level and above trimmed in gold. Many wear their hair long and loose in imitation of the rays of the sun, but it is often tied back or otherwise secured in situations where it could be dangerous or a nuissance. Males priests, especially the older ones, often wear long beards.
She's got yellow/golden outfit on. She's got radiant red hair, similar to the rays of a sunset.
She's got to be a Cleric of Pelor!!
Pelor is a god of Sunlight and healing. Also known for turning undead....
