First:ÂMy thanks to EVERYONE who submitted a map, and to those who provided constructive feedback to the designers as well.ÂIt’s great to see the DDM online community come together!

You can now register for this VERY fun, non-sanctioned event, at Consupport.com.ÂIt is very important to preregister so that we have a good sense of how many people will be participating.ÂWe can’t afford to print up dozens of extra maps, so we need good numbers heading into the event.ÂYou can read more about the event here: Community Draft

OK:ÂTime to vote:ÂVoting is open to all D&D Miniatures players who have an online presence, i.e. a screenname. Even if you can’t attend the event, we still want your input.ÂLet us know which map would be best for those who can make it, to play on.

Voting is simple:

e-mail to:ÂCommunity.Draft@Comcast.net

Include the following information:

Primary Community (i.e. MaxMinis, Hordelings, WotC etc.)

Screenname from that Community

The name of the map your voting for.

Note:  One person:  One Vote.

Here are the maps (alphabetized by Author) that has been submitted to date.

arrif: Ice Cave

HfHurriances:ÂIn From the Cold

Jai: White Palace

KuH: Tundra Keep

lingster: Frozen Fortress

Robbdaman: Spider Caverns

Tried: Mountain Monastery

Weaponbreaker:  #1 Temple of the Lost Dragon

Weaponbreaker: #2 Winterfalls Keep

I hope to be posting a daily update as to how the voting is going. Voting Will close at Midnight on January 30th.

THANKS!

Pat E

It's my pleasure folks!

Update:

January 17th:

Current vote leader: Robbdaman  Spider Caverns

Total votes cast: 27

FYI: Several people have inquired as to the need to indicate a primary "home". My interest is purely to get a good sense that we are soliciting input from more than just Hordelings (where I spend the majority of my time). I have posted a full thread at the 3 major community sites that I am aware of (I can't speak french let alone write it, so I didn't post to Blackguard...). I pleased to say that while the majority of respondents are from one site, that we have received input from users of each of the big 3 sites.

Plenty of time left to vote, and it is certainly close enough for any of the maps to still win.

Pat E

Voting continues, but we need your vote though!

27 people voted on day one, but only 8 on day 2.  That has tighted the race, but not changed any standings...

PLEASE, even if your not attending this event, voting for the best/highest quality map is still away to contribute to this community organzied and run event.  Let us know which map you prefer!

OK, folks...  As of today, 45 people have voted.  We had 44 people at the last WF Community draft!

Why the reluctance to vote....

With 45 votes it, it appears to be a 3 way race.  3 maps stand a very good chance of being selected.

Then again, if we get just 1 % of the Maxminis community in "turnout", the map currently in last place could quickly move to first!

Get those votes in folks!

Good point to consider, Would you like the thread moved into skirmish Pat?

~

My vote is in.

Though found text on a couple of maps very hard to read. Looks like way more maps than last years entries

~

Still wishing you would let people who can not go preorder/buy maps

Bert:

If your interested in getting a copy of the map, several options are available:  Many of the entries will end up available for printing via Cafe Press.

Additionally, you can make an inquiry of ChadTheDragonlordofAiur, or Lord Raven to see if they can print the maps.  I would copy the map author, and seek their permission, but as they are granting permission for the maps to be made available for this event, I'd be shocked if they didn't grant permission.

Both Chad, and Mark (Lord Raven) have access to a large plotter printer, and are/have helped to print maps for the Community events.  There is obviously a cost, but I'd be you can work something out with them for cash/trade.

Good luck!

Pat E

OK, voting continues with a handful of votes coming in over the weekend.

It is boiling down to a 3 map race, with 3 of the maps capturing 85% of the vote thus far.  However, I stress that with the small number of votes that have come in, the rankings could change quickly, and radically.

Please, whether you are coming to XP or not, take the time to review the maps, and vote for the one which you think makes for the best skirmish map!

Your vote counts!

Follow the instruction in the first post of this thread.

Voting will continue until midnight EST on January 30th.

Pat E
