An Owl Monster of some sort..... I don't recall Were-Owls being all that common. How about the Eyekiller? It's a pretty classic D&D monster.
I was thinking of the Owl Archon, thought there was another one too, but just found the one picture with a brief look.

I can't find Carnage Demon anywhere, not in any of the MM or Hordes of the Abyss (and it is not listed in the reference of that book either). | |

All of which have been published later in MM 4 IIRC. My best guess is that The Carnage Demon will appear in MM 5.

| | I'd say it's an invisible stalker! You can't normally see it, only feel it. This time you can really see it, it's large, it's definitely not easy to describe and it's from the MM1! It should be transparent, have no discernable anatomy AND if you look in your MM, I think the outline in the picture is pretty close to the silhouette as well! | |

| Invisible Stalker makes more sense than anything else that we've guessed.
Got to say that I'm not in favor of an invisible stalker mini. I've used invisible creatures before and I find that it's best if there's no representation of them on the table. It takes a really good player to keep the knowledge of where he knows the invisible creature to be seperate from what his character knows. As a DM I just keep track of where the invisible creatures are.
