It will be a while before we'll be able to read it, but here's the blurb for an article that will appear in Inquest #146 (May 2007 issue)
D&D MINIS: FIRST LOOK AT NIGHT BELOW
• Are you afraid of the dark? What about enclosed spaces? Spiders? Walking
mushrooms? Well, suck it up, because the only way you can get a glimpse of the most
anticipated figs from the hottest fantasy minis game is by surviving InQuest’s ultimate
dungeon. Bring your own blankie.
The spiders and walking mushrooms might be references to old minis (or entirely unrelated to the content of the article), but I just wanted to pass the info on to those who enjoy speculating on such things...
Any particular types of spiders or Myconids (or other random fungi) that anyone is hoping to see in Night Below?

| Violet fungi are much more likely than shriekers from a skirmish perspective as they actually move (10 feet vs. 0 feet) and have attacks (four tentacles plus poison). All shriekers do is ... wait for it ... shriek.

| This could be a Shrieker: Â Shrieker:
Cost 9 Faction: ANY Level: 1 HP: 10 AC: 10 Speed: 0 ATK: 0 DMG: 0
Special Abilities:
Wandering Monster: Sets up on a random feature tile instead of your assembly tile.
Beneath Contempt: Opponents do not score victory points for eliminating this creature.
Distracting Shriek: Enemies within 6 do not score victory points for occupying victory areas.
Fearless
If this was a Shrieker, THEN it'd be viable skirmish wise. I'd see this in play a LOT.

but for the new people joining the hobby they dont want to spend the big $$$ for those 2 figs that they might not use that often A more than valid point. I definitely see the need for reprints and the like, and this is the best reason for them. However, I can only talk about my own wants, and I'd rather if given the choice between a drider and another spider-like creature (and I highly doubt there will be a set with both of these) I'd choose a spider. A phase spider is a lot more useful than a drider. I've used a drider in games all of once in my many years of gaming with phase spiders coming up multiple times (not the best argument, bu there you go). But luckily, Merric answered the issue in the previous post.
