| Even if WotC decided to limit Epic support to the latest set or two in the monthly retailer packs, how much work would it really take to drum up some 'official' Epic cards and make them available online to print out? The community could do it themselves in a day or two, but the cards wouldn't have the Official WotC Seal on them.
Nobody is expecting their Aspect of Orcus or Bane to revolutionize the Epic-meta, but it would be a nice move to put something out that the long time supporters of the game would really appreciate. It would take minimal effort on their part, and it would surely buy them a lot goodwill with their most ardent/vocal fans (which might come in handy the next time there is a paint/distribution issue). | | Champion of Aspect of Juiblex (with Oozemaster) and Aspect of Skurmsh! | |

| I don't play the EPIC game much, mainly due to the balancing issues with the point costs(Undercosted Epic Storm Archer). I feel that most of the recent EPIC releases are greatly overcosted (Strahd [Spell DC's way too low for Epic], Horned Devil, Ice Devil, Pit Fiend, Eldritch Giant, Archmage). I wish there were more EPIC's in the 130-160 point range. This would open up many more options in EPIC warband construction. Not every EPIC has to cost 250+ points.

| Like I mentioned over at the Wizards forum, why don't they just release a couple of Epic cards for older pieces in PDF format on their web site every month? Problem solved! It would be of no cost to them, and make the "old-time" collectors happy. They already have Epic stats for dozens, if not hundreds, of older minis made up. I'd bet a paycheck on it.
I believe it would also be of interest to the newer players as it would show them that Wizards supports their game for the long haul, and isn't just interested in just promoting the latest and greatest set (even if, in reality, that's what happens due to business pressures), as is so common in the collectible game market.

| Posted By gss_000 on 03/15/2007 10:25 AM I really like the web enhancement idea. They could still do one a month or so to avoid oversaturation and making less than stellar choices from remaining figures that don't have epic cards("Why is the human commoner epic?"), while existing sets can have the current system of epic card production. That way you encourage people to buy the current sets from FLGS to get the figure and support their business. Never quoted myself before, but just want to show that I agree with your idea.

| Sorry, I meant 141-160. The point was we need some good choices well under 200 points.

I'm in total agreement that it is very uncool that they don't test the epics they release in kits | | Eye dun no why youse guys think im not relly a person im jimgang from canada but im moving to cali as soon as i get a master card -Jimgang So, you stand at your grave, Has your soul yet been taken away?
