I don't know if your intent was to be disrespectful, but you are crossing the line.
A decision was made several months ago to change the spoiler/leak policy here at Maxminis. The details can be found here: "Maxmini's spoiler policy".
I'm not entirely happy about that decision, and I was really hoping we could make it through at least one set without an extensive leak, but we haven't and the policy is what it is. So this thread isn't going to be locked due to it's topic, and checklists or pictures of the minis won't be deleted.
That said, while spoilers and leaks are now tolerated here, disrespectful or rude comments about any of the people that work at WotC are not.
This is a warning for everyone: you need to tread carefully and think before you type.
It's been made clear that a significant majority of the online DDM community wants to view any information that is available, no matter the source or the consequences. Maxminis is not going to stop you from seeing that information or discussing it, so enjoy the pictures and information (or don't, as you choose).
At the same time, this isn't something to joke about. Today is going to be a very rough day for the folks who work at WotC and have been doing everything in their power to make sure that you will be happy with the next set of DDM. A lot of their hard work, time, and effort just got scrapped.
Maybe it's a very fine line to walk, and maybe I'm over-reacting because of my own personal opinion of leaks/spoilers... but trust me, it's not a line any of you want to be on the wrong side of.

| LCS: Thank you for your concern - albeit long winded and misdirected. zenthrus mentioned exploding heads - I was merely visualising and trying to find away to prevent such an explosion. My initial response regarding said prevention was time travel. I've since found out that I'm unable to bend time and space. Sucks, I know.
I'm trying very hard to see what all the fuss is about. For the life of me, I can't. I understand the folks at WoTC work very hard, and that's fine. Obviously however, they didn't work hard enough or a phenominal leak like this wouldn't have occurred in the first place. They (Virginia) are a fair hike from the coal-face (China) after-all, aren't they? The security of Wizard's factories including products, documents, blue-prints and intellectual property therein is not my responsibility.
Now, you may have some imagined or indeed very real fear of WoTC... me... I'm just some dude who plays D&D.
No, my intent was not to be disrespectful and yes, you are over-reacting. I didn't nick miniatures and pepper the internet with their pictures. I didn't suggest people's heads will explode or roll and I think if you check, you might find it was your fellow moderators. So ahhh... don't blame me

I'm not surprised at that.
While the bids are low anyhow, there isnt much risk, (or at least much to lose) if it goes sour and the guy scams the cash. Unless I am missing your point?
If the auction isnt pulled (which begs the question if WoTC legal dept can sway ebay) then it will get riskier. There's a lot of minis in there (possibily without the right stat card though), but I wouldnt blink an eye to see it go well past $500 usd. | |
