| Just saw this thought I'd share too bad no stats
July: Night Below Booster Packs Back in April I showed you the Kobold Trapmaker and the Frost Giant Jarl. Last month, you saw the Kuo-Toa Whip and Kuo-Toa Hunter. This month, I've got two more minis to show -- these guys are both Large Rares. Don't stand downwind of the first one and don't stare at the second.
| | Brass Golem | | | | Greater Basilisk |
To get a look at even more Night Below minis, and find out some details about how they work in the world of skirmish gaming, check out Steve Schubert's Miniatures on the D&D Minis page. And, you'll want to pick up a copy of Dragon magazine, while you can, to see their exclusive minis coverage.

| When I first saw the brass golem in this June & Beyond, I was pleasantly surprised. Now that I see the rarity, I have some disappointment. That would have been a nice uncommon. The checklist was not a final one, it appears.
The greater basilisk looks just fine. I was surprised (not necessarily bad though) that he has such a low to ground profile. It works for me. | | "Look to God and live." Alma 37:47 Vindicated Champ of Hippogriff (Arcadian Hippogriff) and Uncommon Horse

| | I hope it was a mistake in the preview myself, as it would make a better minotaur than any of the actual minotaurs we've received and I want a bunch of 'em. If it's not a mistake in the preview, I wonder what got bumped from rare to unc? | | The year: 1994. | Why is there a (Spoiler) in the subject line?
In any case, I think both look fantastic. I'm glad the greater basilisk has gotten an official preview now, so I can officially say how awesome I think it is. I love the menacing appearance of the sculpt, and I love the colour scheme. I have a slight concern about what appears to be a seam line at the ancles - I hope it won't look so obvious in person.
I like the stylized look of the brass golem - an excellent sculpt for a construct! I was under the impression that it was uncommon, though...

| Hmm rather shallow question I predicted 'abyssal greater basilisk' as my called shot does that count? It is in esasence the same thing (a large basilisk) but thought I ought to ask. Lover both of the minis the greater basilkisk is as cool as I would have hoped. The brass golem also looks awesome. Do like how stylised it is. Shame it isn't an uncommon as I see nothing that really warrants its status as a rare. | | | |

If that turns eventually to be right, maybe another one which was named in the checklist as a rare could finally turn to an uncommon. Guesses?

| I think the GoL basilisk has a great concept and is a nice mini, but that doesn't mean I don't welcome the concept based on the abyssal greater basilisk - perhaps basilisks vary in appearance depending on where they are found, or perhaps the female is more colourful, while the male sports a horn? I don't see it as problematic for RPG that we have a large purple basilisk with neck frills and a medium-sized brown basilisk with a horn on its snout - you can always choose to have the newer one represent the abyssal greater basilisk.
In any case, the greater basilisk looks quite menacing. So it's purple. At least it doesn't also carry a handbag. | | Champion of the Catoblepas

That sounds about right. The Golem of course would represent one of Hathors consorts, unless you would like to mod an udder on it too. | | Pathetic Earthlings.
