The totals match up on the list, 24 rare, 24 Unc and 12 Cs. I think it's equally likely that the error was in the preview(I hope anyway). Otherwise, I'm very curious as to what stepped down to Unc. | |

Why not? I'm more likely to suspect an error in the article than on this set list. It is also worth noting that the brass golem is not particularly complicated - why would it need to be a rare? | |

It is also worth noting that the brass golem is not particularly complicated - why would it need to be a rare? While not a terribly complicated sculpt, it could be rare due to time invested in paint steps (i.e. making sure that it turns out shiny brass rather than bleh with a blackwash) and/or rare due to skirmish stats. Could also be rare since it isn't a creature that is encountered in large numbers. There are a number of factors that seem to go into rarity decisions.
The only mini I would really like to see dropped from rare to uncommon status would be the Dire Tiger (summonable, found in packs, potential for very good skirmish stats, semi-complicated paintjob).
I actually would prefer the Brass Golem to be uncommon (thus the article being incorrect) since I would like to use them as statues/dungeon dressing

I use my checklists as part of my inventory process. It's gonna suck if they didn't catch/correct such a simple error. | |

It is NOT a confirmed error. The preview is as likely to have a typo as the set list scan is. You should not state that the set list scan has a confirmed error when it does not. wtg. As far as I'm concerned, until some one posts a link to an official wotc person saying it is indeed a rare, it's uncommon. | |

| I think the advertising department has disappointed me with this set. They advertise miniatures in thi smanner "Various figures are drawn from key D&D titles, including the various Monster Manual supplements, as well the Eberron, Forgotten Realms, and Dragonlance campaign settings."
There are multiple miniatures from Eberron and the monster manuals and Forgotten Realms. There has been a dearth of Dragonlance minis since Dragoneye (I don't really count Mina since her promo was back in the early days, too). Then they announce Raistlin way ahead (good). Then then announce various miniatures from books including Dragonlance. And the set list comes out. And Raistlin is the ONLY Dragonlance mini. I don't even see why they advertized using Dragonlance as a source after they already announced that Raistlin was in the set. It was misleading and disappointing.
Advertising hasn't disappointed me entirely. They have on this issue, though. | |

I can hardly consider the Greyhawk City Militia Sergeant a Greyhawk mini just because it has Greyhawk in the name. This is a vanilla (as far as campaign setting) miniature. This militia sergeant sculpt could be given a name from any campaign setting, and we wouldn't know the difference. Is there anything else in this set that looks like it's Greyhawk?
